May Ijust say one thing about weighing?

True, Jo. For me at least, that came naturally from weighing every day. (Although I admit, I still don't like it when I see a higher number for no reason. But it's not like it ruins my day anymore. I think most, though not all, people reach that point somewhere along the way.)

It came very naturally to me as well, Robin. I guess it had to do with really coming to know my body and even learning how it reacts to certain things I eat.

I do think, however, that some people have a compulsive nature and only get to that point with difficulty.

That would be ME, actually. I'm horribly compulsive about it. But weighing so often forced me to accept the fluctuations as part of life. Even now, I hop on there whenever I'm passing by. But it's because I like to SEE how it fluctuates constantly. I can go up 5 pounds in the course of a day.

What an, uhhm, interesting thread....

Just thought I'd pop in and tell y'all that I weigh every single day - at least twice. I know I haven't been forthcoming with my love of the scale so I thought I'd put it out there :). The scale is my friend - lol.

Well, no, actually I came up with A LOT more :). I decided my 'inside voice' was best left inside today.

Ya know, I read a quote once that said 'The best time to hold your tongue is when you simply MUST say something or bust.' So, on occasion, when I'm in the mood, I follow that - LOL

I hate to break it to ya, but, although Science Guy is your term, I belong to one and only one.... that of course being Diana... ;)

As for corrupted... it would be nice to credit Kym, but I believe I came corrupted... I have just had many years of collegiate training on how to mask the corruption with sarcasm.

OF COURSE! That's how i disprove the theory that the sum of two halves is a whole. If i weigh both sides separately and add them together it's ALWAYS less than when i weigh BOTH at the same time! :roflmao:

just a figure of speech science guy, just a figure of speech. I know Di is a blessed (not lucky) woman, as you are a blessed man. A simple play on terminology!

BTW, I see RIGHT THRU the mask, collegiate training has taught me that. As well as working 12 years in an inner-city school district!

I have improved slightly. I don't weigh before I go to bed. But I can tell you that I have weighed as much as EIGHT pounds over ticker at bedtime and then been 1.5-2 lbs below ticker in the morning. It was all the water.
