on a routine expedition
met the greatest earthquake ever known.
high on the rapids
it struck their tiny raft.
and plunged them down a thousand feet below.
I loved Land of the Lost and omg~~H.R. PuffNStuff & Jimmy & Witchy Poo!! Our parents took us to the PuffNStuff *Amusement Park* that used to be in what is now the CNN Center in Atlanta way back when I still have my t-shirt...not that I can wear it as I was like 8 so it was before I had boobs LOL
i suggest the power of netflix for anyone who needs to brush up on their kroft superstars. land of the lost was (and remains) the most amazing piece o' cr@p ever made. i mean that in the best possible sense.
bad acting. bad effects. so bad, it's wonderful.
do NOT get the 90's remake. go for the mid 70's original.
zoom back and forth between worlds in the mysterious pylons. tremble in fear (at the bad makeup) when confronted by the sleestacks. wish you could ride your own dinosaur.
Alex, you must be older than I thought.
I used to watch this every Saturday morning. The Sleestacs (sp?) always scared me. I think it was part of the Krofts family Saturday morning or something like that. There was another show that had a family who got shrunk with a laser or something too... liked that show too.

I have to be careful not to confuse excellence with perfection. Excellence, I can reach for; perfection is God's business.
OK, Puffenstuff fans. Did you also watch Lidsville, the spinoff? Charles Nelson Reilly was some sort of wizard, and all the townspeople were different kinds of hats.

I think it was Chacka (sp?)
YES! That was it! What a riot. I can hear the SleeStack breathing as we speak.
JeepGirl--I loved Jimmy on Puffenstuff with all my heart--what a crush (I was young, young elementary school.) Your T-shirt is probably worth something to a collector somewhere!
Thanks for the Saturday morning memories...eating Franken-Berry cereal and watching the classics.
