i have another question this one is about lettuce I've found it difficult to measure 2 cups of lettuce and know if im getting the correct amount.

should i do this in a measuring cup or should i use my digital kitchen scale and weigh out 12oz??? . I chop up veggies cucumber-green pepper small and put them in the measuring cup but i am confused on the lettuce

What we did to start was use a measuring cup and kinda press the lettuce in a bit, but not totally compress it. The 2 1/2 cups of salad would take up about a 16 oz bowl (with no room for tossing), so we usually would make the salad in a quart size bowl to toss it. This is of course when using lighter greens like iceberg, spinach, arugula, etc.
Hope this was helpful. The whole salad thing can be a confusing area. ;)

On the mymedifast site they have info about weighing veggies. If you have a good digital scale that may work out. I don't weigh my veggies but measure the same as Mike.

Gained 11 lbs in Mexico 3/08, decided to lose that along with another 5 lbs!
