Making, but drinking shakes later

Postby Ark » June 30th, 2006, 6:38 am

Hi, i'm only on my 3rd day with medifast, but it's going along smoothly, but i have a question. It would make my life alot easier if i can make my shakes at home and just carry them to work, leave them in the fridge and drink them as i need to. Is this allowed? to keep them refrigerated for 4 or so hours then drink them?

I've done this but had problems with the shake powder solidifying in the bottom of the water bottle/jar. Am I alone on that? Any tips?

Have you tried mixing them in a blender and including some ice? It makes the shakes frothier and very well blended. It's the way I do 'em and they're much better.

There are Choc. Ready To Drink shakes that you can buy. They are great and you can go anywhere with them, you can fit a couple in your bag.

Luckily for me I teach science in a big room with a fridge. So I make a shake early, put it in the freezer for an hour, then put it in the fridge for an hour, then I have it at break time.
Never had any trouble with stuff solidifying at the bottom Alex.
As for the RTD's... I just started using these this month and I highly recommend the chocolate. Vanilla is a bit sweet for me.. but that's just me.
I wouldn't make the shake too long before having it though. No berts on how it will taste after 6 hours in a fridge.. lol
