MAJORLY BUMMED OUT

Postby QT2Lose45 » October 20th, 2006, 4:35 pm

I just came home from my business trip.... i did not cheat (as far as carbs/sugars) at ALL... I did go over on my oz's for steak and seafood, but i stuck to veggies, no butter, salads w/ no cheese, croutons and lite dressings on the side, and had my 5 MF meals spaced pretty evenly.... i downed so much water i think i saw more of the ladies restroom than the classroom the seminar was being held in :?

So i get home, SUPER EXCITED to get on the scale... NOTHING, NADA, ZIPPO..... it is the same as when i left on Sunday  Man oh man, do i realllllly want to cheat

HELP..... is this normal?

Yes, it is normal. Don't worry. You stuck to plan, so you should see the scales move soon.

HANG IN! Look at the big picture! You have had a phenominal start! I'd have killed for your start (well maybe not killed, but given a lot of $$! ::) Also, did you take your weight in the afternoon? Did you fly? all of which will affect your water balance! Please take a deep breath, take a nap, a walk, a bath...whatever, and trust the process...Please! YOU ARE DOING IT!

yes, i weighed myself this evening, after flying all day long. i was stuck at the airport for lunch and knew i wouldn't be home til late, so i ate my l&g at the Chili's in the airport ordering a burger w/ no cheese or bun, and salad with no cheese/croutons and ff ranch on the side.. i lett/tom/pickle w/ the burger w/ a lil' ketchup and didn't eat all the salad.

Okay, so i'm bad... i just had to make my daughter and her friend a little organic cheese pizza... i chewed up a few bites just for the taste and spit it out  is that totally crazy??!! I ate a hot pickle just now, and i'm gonna have a shake in a few minutes... but that's not what I WANT TO EAT. BUT, hopefully, i'll make it through tonight and be back in the motivation zone in the morning...

Sounds like you did great!! How about just weighing on Sunday morning? Morning vs. evening makes a big difference.

Ohhhh,
I always give myself three days or so before I weight after flying. For some reason I look just like a "puffer fish" when I get off the plane. It takes a couple of days to part with all the extra "puff". :D

Hold the phone - you did AWSOME, yet the scale defies you - I feel your pain........... Just wait a few more days and you will be AMAZED! I went through my share of scale stall and it is frustrating, but believe me it will move for you soon.

Yes it's normal, and you'll probably be missing a nice size chunk in a day or two.

It's also normal to want to cheat. Beat it this time, and it'll be easier next time....

Aside from the flying thing, you also probably had some extra salt on the trip - and certainly you did with the airport burger. You'll be fine once you lose all that water.
