Made it through Day One

Postby Jeanette » November 11th, 2003, 7:27 am

Hi y'all :D

I made it through Day 1 yesterday with little difficulty. I experienced the hunger and the headache, but I am so determined to change my life that I considered it a minor inconvenience!

One thing that is helping me alot is the book "Success in a Shaker Jar". It covers so much more than the Quick Start book that comes free with your first order. (thanks for the recommendation, Terry!)

So far I have tried the chocolate shake, vanilla shake, orange shake, chicken noodle soup, and lemon bar (which is DELISH!) Today I may have the cream of tomato soup at 11:30! I find that boullion does help me alot too.

Have a great day, y'all!

YEAH, Jeanette!!!!!!!!!!!

I also had a mild headache on Day 1, but it was gone by Day 2. The mild hunger only lasts a few days, too.

I am beginning my second week, and feel energetic and satisfied with the shakes and soups (I'm not a bar girl ;).......I have also come to believe that bullion, not diamonds, are a girl's best friend  !!!!!

So keep up the GREAT work, girlfriend! You are on your way to Skinny-Land 8) !!!

hugs,

Lois

Lois I am with you, diamonds have been kicked to the crub. Broth is my new love.. My lunch box that I take to work has Beef, Chicken and even Ham. I go to work at 7am, so I have a snack about 1030-1100 am of my broth. AHHHHHHHHHH What heaven. People dont even pay me any attention anymore. I dance the shake shake shake song when I am mixing all day, do the potty dance on the way to the bathroom.I have already got one fellow co-worker to start the program and have another one starting at the first of the year. (she decided she would be wayyy to weak at christmas) Since nobody has come up with a Wendys frosty version of the shake or a big mac flavor, I have to have some love. So broth it will be.

You know, I think the Dutch chocolate tastes a lot like a melted Wendy's frosty! Now if they would just make a Godiva hazelnut truffle flavored shake...

Godiva hazelnut truffle flavored shake

Postby Nancy » November 12th, 2003, 9:54 am

Dear Guest ~

You CAN make your very own Godiva hazelnut truffle flavored shake.

To the Dutch Choc packet, add a tablespoon (more or less) of the Hazelnut flavored Davinci syrup and some more choc flavoring if you want. A dash of cinnamon would make it delightful. Shake it up, add some crushed ice and Ahhhh...sit back, slurp and grow thin and healthy!

Your friends and co-workers will be so envious because you will have great tasting and great looking food and you will be disappearing before their very eyes. If you like them, tell them what you're doing. If they have been stinky to you all of your work days, tell them nothing, Make 'em beg for info! ;) ;)

BTW, welcome to our forum!

Hey Lois!

It is now Day 3 and I am doing great! I still have a little headache now and then, and occasionally my tummy will growl, but other than that it is great!

I have had to deal with some temptation already! I was able to resist--I am so proud! (and so shocked! :o )

Gotta go pee--AGAIN!!

Thanks Lois and Tim!

Day 4 is going pretty well! I had the oatmeal this morning--VERY tasty!

I am so proud of myself! By now, in any other diet, I would have been cheating like a bandit, but NOT Medifast! I have strictly adhered to the program! Believe me, I have wanted to cheat!!! But I just talk myself through the rough spots. The rest of it is a BREEZE!

And the results I am already seeing are a great motivator! My pants are much more loose (and so are my undies! ) I am actually feeling a waistline! This is too exciting!

Day 5 for me--and I must tell you how I averted temptation last night.

I had had my five shakes for the day, but about 9:30 pm was still feeling like I need to eat (dang those food commercials anyway!) I just kept talking to myself, saying that I can have another shake IF I REALLY NEED IT. The more time went on, the more I realized I didn't need it. So...I went to bed, and the desire to eat went away.

This battle in the mind is a tough one!!
