The main issue with sausage is typically the fat and the sodium content, mainly the fat.
I have found one brand (Amy's - at Costco) that is 5g of fat in one sausage, and thats fairly lean for the lean category. Most sausages are 12 to 22g of fat per sausage.
So I would say that something akin to Amys Chicken sausages would be okay. Just make sure you don't have more than 5 oz. in the lean category.
