Losing body fat!!

Postby hollyhouse » March 1st, 2006, 7:31 pm

because this is a high protein diet we are losing more body fat then scale weight!
I totally realized this today when i tried on an old pair of pants that are a size 5 and they fit!!!seems really weird!! since the last time they fit me my SCALE weight was 140 pounds. so its obvious that i lost fat and inches.
my ring is also falling off my finger. my face is starting to look more chiseled. and still today the scale hasn't moved in either direction! even with the screw ups i did this month.

Tomorrow it will be one whole month that i started medifast and i will be doing my weigh in .in the morning. sooo no matter what the scale says i KNOW my body is changing!!!

I ordered another months worth of medifast and im hoping it gets here tomorrow or the next day!
(actually, someone ordered it for me) someone is dying to see me thin!! hahaha
ohh the pressure!!
but at least now i know what i like and what i don't like!

body change

Postby LAwoman » March 1st, 2006, 8:10 pm

Hey Hollyhouse,

I have the same feeling as I fit into smaller clothes at higher weights. I walk and do toning exercise, but I feel like my body is in better shape losing weight with MF than with previous low-cal diets that may not have been as nutritous (sp?)

Great job to you and your skinny jeans

Holly

Honey it is really good to see you back and posting again. Please do not take this wrong but sweetie if you are in a size 5 and still want to lose 35 more pounds I am afraid that you would be just skin and bones at that point. I was just wondering how tall you are. I am not trying to be mean at all and I hope this does not come across that way I am just concerned.

I'm only 5-foot-2 and I'm supposed to be somewhere between 115 and 135.

If you're fitting into 5's now, you're going to be a negative number when you reach your goal.

I don't want this taken the wrong way either, but have you discussed your goal with your doctor? It seems from every ideal-weight chart I've seen.

Wow....last time I wore a size 7 was in high school (35 plus years ago) and I was very atheletic and considered thin at 5' 3". I can't even imagine someone in a size 5 wanting to lose more weight, maybe tone up here and there, but at 5' 5" going for 118 lbs.....nah. :uhuh:

Ironically I was talking to the nurse at my doctor's office this past Wednesday. She commented on my weight loss and told me she had been very sick several months back and started losing weight. She is 5' 5" and her weight dropped to 118 lbs. She said she was extremely alarmed, looked emanciated and like crap. Maybe you should check out your scale or at least try another one....something is wrong with this picture. :dunno:
