I'm looking for another mixer

Postby Mike » August 14th, 2006, 9:35 pm

My sister was on Medifast, Dr. prescription.. anyhow. She found this nifty little battery operated hand mixer. She gave it to me when we visited her and now I want another one and other people have asked also.
It basically looks exactly like those little hand-held mini fans, but instead of a fan, a little plastic stick that forks at the end is in it. You just put the thing in your cup and press the button, and voila... your shake, cocoa, latte, whatever is mixed (and well at that). It makes a little tornado inside the cup.. ;)
Anyhow, my sister doesn't remember exactly where she got it so i will just have to shop around. Has anybody seen this or know where I can get more? Thanks.

I got mine at Walgreens. I also have a mug that I got at Wal Mart. It is a 24 ounce mug with a tiny beater on the inside of the lid. It takes a watch battery. You put your stuff in the mug, put on the lid, turn on the lid and it mixes like a little mini blender. I really like the one from Walgreens, though. It fits really nice in my backpack and rinses easy in the sink!! I think it was about 4 bucks.

They have a couple of mini mixers listed in ebay also. You can search by mini mixer medifast and they should come up!

Posted this after seeing the ones on ebay and knowing those aren't the ones I want. I went to Walgreens here today, no luck.
I may be doomed to not find it. Unfortunately, the thing has no company name or logo other than Made in Taiwan....

They are all over the place here. If you don't find one, shoot me a pm and I will get one and send it to you. They typically have a choice of colors, too.

Mike,

I googled "battery operated hand mixer" and came up with this and several others:

https://www DOT immunesupport DOT com/shop/product DOT cfm/Product__Code/MX01

Is that it?

Will check into it though. Thanks Jo and Supermom (for the life of me I can't remember your name... if I ever knew it  )

Supermom has the one. She e-mailed me a pic of the exact one I have. I will keep checking all of the Walgreens around. These are great... small, and easy to pack with you... and they mix things very well.

Mike is right. They do mix well. Most of ya'll know about our baby and his prematurity and feeding issues. I use mine a lot to mix up his bottles. We have to add so much stuff to them that a simple shake like is good enough for most bottles just doesn't do it. The milk is just thick and chunky with blobs of unmixed powder all through it. But, with this handy little gadget, they mix in under 30 seconds completely and oh so smooth! Glad I knew what you were lookin for, and I could just probably go to our Walgreens and find the brand of the thing and then maybe we could do a search for the brand and find some online.

I ordered one from www dot diabetic promotions dot com. It is called the Vita Minder Drink Mixer. Their phone number is 1-800-433-1477. It was $7.99. It comes with a little travel case and an extra blade.
