DAY 10

Yes! Today is DAY 10 and I have officially completed the first "lap" of my 100 Day Challenge 8)

Today is HOT and HUMID in Philadelphia, but I got out for my 30 minutes of brisk walking anyway

I followed it up with my usual yoga cool-down.

Have a great day, everyone! And keep on shakin' ;)

hugs,

Lois

DAY 11

Thanks Mike! I KNEW you'd be supportive 8)

Today is DAY 11 and I'm goin' strong

I had to get up EARLY this morning to do my yoga, 'cause I wanted to make it to a 7:30 a.m. OA meeting!!!!!

SOOOooooo I hauled my body outta bed and crawled over to my yoga mat. It was WORTH IT  With exercise and with MF, the Nike slogan "just DO it" definitely applies ;)

Knowing I'm gonna post here every day gives me EXTRA motivation to not miss even one day of my 100 days of exercise. Thanks just for BEING here, my friends 8)

I'm feelin' great on the creamy soups and the shakes. I "eat" at least one of my shakes in the form of popcicles (Mike suggested we call 'em "fastcicles"), and have my daily veggies either raw and crunchy or chopped up in my soup.

For me, the "full fast" is so much less complicated/tempting than doing the "lean and green" or 5 and 1 plan. I know that works GREAT for others, but for me, the temptation to "play" with the program was just too strong.

Have a fabulous day, everyone!

hugs

 Hello Everyone,
Lois i will join you in your quest and make it my own also. It has been several months since i have been on the forum. I started Medifast on Jan, 01 2004 @ 247 lbs. I fasted until the end of Feburary and ran out of shakes before my other ones could arrive and i had to go back on food for a short time. When i got back on the shakes it was not the same and i decided to take over my self. I was down to 215 Lbs and continued to watch my food and in April i entered the Music City Half Marathon finishing 13 miles in 3 hours and 7 minutes. It wasn't a great time but at least i finished. My kids got out of school for the summer and so the running stopped and i am starting not to feel so good about myself anymore i am currently @ 225 lbs. I am starting back on Medifast on Monday Sept 6th with the full fast and will gladly join you on the 100 day quest. My goal this time is not to run out of shakes and actually get to the point i was going on before but this time work with medifast on a maintenance program which is around 175 lbs. Marathon time will be rolling around again and in April i plan on running the Full Marathon this time being 26.2 miles and this will be the biggest challange i have ever put myself through. However i do not think this is an unreachable goal and i have every intention of reaching it.

Welcome back, Barry. Will be good watching you and Lois do the challenge. In no time, hopefully, you'll be in the groove again with this and on "easy street". HA!! Is there really such a thing? :?: But once one is committed, the time seems to go rather painlessly. Congrats on your athletic accomplishments and for pursuing such. Also for your long string of MF time before your supply ran out. I recently went through such a "dry spell" but I used a similar shake kind of product (low carb) while I was waiting. Was never so glad to see my dutch chocolate arrive. It tastes like the finest chocolates compared with what I had to use. I've finished up my sixth week today. Planning on going until I'm satisfied, entirely, all things being equal. However, I DO realize that that might be a couple of more months, conceivably, as in my head I've adjusted my goal to 120 instead of 125. Could I honestly not believe that a little bit thinner would be a little bit better? Unfortunately, I always seem to push that envelope. Will see how it goes. Maybe sometimes enough is enough and one really does need to be grateful and satisfied. Will look forward to your participation soon.

Hey, Barry - Welcome Home! You have a great incentive to keep you on the straight and narrow.

IF you ever run out of product, you may have an eight ounce glass of low-fat milk. Argh. It does not taste like our wonderful MF shakes, but IT does the trick to keep you in ketosis and provide the body with some protein.

Dutch, you will be so skinny, we'll have to strap a surfboard to your backside just to be able to see you! ;) ;)

DAY 12 8)

Hello, everyone, and WELCOME Barry!

It'll be GREAT to have "company" on this adventure ;)

I have lost 40+ pounds since starting MF on 6/2 at 230 pounds. I am 5'6" and muscular, so even though I haven't set a goal weight, I figure I have about another 50 pounds to go.

I am working on recovery from food addiction and obsession with food, weight, and my body....so I am not concentrating on the scale. What I AM concentrating on is what Nancy calls "program compliance", getting well, and liking myself EVERY day...no matter what I weigh.

Today I walked for 25 minutes this morning, and so far I've gotten in half my water for the day and 2 shakes. It's SOOOoooo hot and humid today in Philly that it is EASY to drink the water 8)

hugs to all,

Lois

You go, Girl!

Sheesh! You've downed HALF of your daily water supply all ready, eh? :water:

Hey, Folks, are ya gonna let a getting-skinny Gal from Philly out-do you in the water department? Slurp up! :uhuh:

Lois, you are gonna be such a steamy lady - walkin' about town, melting away right before everyone's eyes! Cool!

I'm headin' out to use the treadmill and the bike. :weightlift:

Unlike humid Philly, it is overcast and cool this mornin' in Vancouver, WA- with the promise of a sunny afternoon, perfect temp of 83 degrees.

Unca just walked by and mentioned that he wants me to call the "Super" and have the 'furnace' adjusted - he's been out on the patio wearing a flannel shirt, workin' on his 'puter, the sound of the water flowing over the pond rocks is in the background and squirrels are scampering across the fence tops. What a picture, eh?

Hey, Every One - Today is YOUR day to take control of who you wanna become.
What you do today in mind, body and soul will become a part of all your tomorrows.

Are ya gonna let the cheesecake win or will you be like Lois and take charge of your life?
Let's be program compliant!

Cheers!

Welcome Barry,

Wow, anyone who runs marathons is to be downright admired in my opinion. THAT's endurance. This MF routine is a breeze compared to running a marathon IMHO.

Lois, You're doing SOOO fantastic! It's really encouraging to read what you're doing and your great results! I'll be swimming this evening for my exercise today. Went to the doctor for a shoulder injury, and his scale said I only lost 5 pounds in August. I've decided that's erroneous, am ignoring it, and will weigh in on Sep first on my own scale. Even if it is 5 pounds lost, I'm skinnier! I REFUSE to be discouraged!!!! I'M A LOSER and that's what counts!

Right on, Lois, day 12. As you're getting thinner, so are we, so am I, because we're with you!

Yeah, hawaii, we will not get discouraged. Five pounds is very hard to lose sometimes. I can't tell you how many times I would've loved being just five pounds smaller, and your scale could be different, anyhow.

Ahh, Lois - it'll be The Thrillin' Thirteen Days of Thinnin' for ye, our Shakin' Sister!

:devious: Bottoms up!

(Whoopsy! Leopard Woman had better be careful with that comment, especially in light of a recent Drawer Droppin' on the East Coast...) :hide:

DAY 13 ;)

Hi Gang!!

Today was a yoga day for me.... I am shakin' and slurpin' and feeling GREAT!

Since our friend Gerald brought up the whole DRAWER DROPPING INCIDENT and Nancy has cheered me on with "bottoms up!".....I guess I'll let you know that a few days ago, during my yoga practice, I was doing "downward dog" and my SHIRT FELL OFF!!!!!!

SHEESH! Good thing I practice yoga in the privacy of my own home!

Maybe MF should come with a WARNING LABEL.....something to the effect of "WARNING: continued use of this product may result in CLOTHING LOSS and INDECENT EXPOSURE!"

hugs to all,

Lois
