Lois' 100 Day Challenge...The Home Stretch

Post your weight loss successes or failures here...:)

Yes, a food journal is a must. Daily recording of your grub intake.

Regular weight monitoring - I weigh and record it daily, I record my exercise, too.

I am not saying others need to weigh DAILY but do it often - weekly or bi-weekly or use a pair of jeans to monitor your size.

You cannot go from following the weight loss regimine to gangbusters or you will eat yourself right back to your former flabby days.

Permanent weight loss = permanent life style changes.

It may sound boring & yucky to have to monitor for life, to eat restricted portions, to avoid some trigger foods, but you all know the alternatives: Flabdom Forever or Thinsville Forever...I have been morbidly obese and I have been thin; I choose the latter any day!

Thanks for the continuity that you provided here via your 100 DC, Lois! It helped pass "the time" for us to follow you... as you know, getting "thinner" takes time, and the more that passes while one is in MF (or other) control the more time well-spent.

I applaud your selection of a means by which to get to the bottom of what food problems are about rather than just self-administer a potentially temporary solution. Life is Easy -- Food is Hard. Haven't read it, but I already know it's true for me.

Best of wishes, and I'll miss you!!

Lois,

I better not have detected a hint of you leaving here. It is absolutely a violation - you are not allowed - nothing doing! Keep us informed of all you're doing. It's interesting to hear of your new approach to maintenance. You look marvelous darling - you have done a stellar job losing and motivating everyone here. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!! You're a very generous person, and your daily posts really encouraged me through some ruts in the road.

Love ya Lois!

Not weird

Postby mombarnes » November 15th, 2004, 8:38 am

Lois & Sylvia - I don't think it's weird either. I am very interested in hearing about how this works long-term. I'm a long way from needing this (maintenance) myself, but share your feelings about getting something that works the rest of my life.
Your posts, Nancy, are helpful too because they explain maintenance and healthy lifestyles.

Hello, my lovely friends!

How 'bout I start a thread in the "Maintenence" forum? That way I can still stay in touch with all of you, and it will continue to give me an opportunity to share what I'm learning on this incredible journey.....

I won't post daily....but I will post regularly ;)

hugs,

Lois

That would be just GREAT! Maybe everyone who has reached goal could use it to stay in touch as well as offer advice & inspiration.
