AUG. 12, 2007 - 131.3# :)

Well, you know, maintaining is just that, with fluctuations a little every day.
I still feel it necessary to weigh each morning, though, to keep things in check...and it keeps me aware of what I'm trying to do.

Thanks, HOL. You're sweet to think of me. It is definitely easier to get things done when you feel fit.
And enjoyable to go and do when you feel that you look nice in your clothes.
Thing is, most things look good...I now wear horizontal striped tops, when I wouldn't touch them before.
And things I bought for colder weather are going to fit great this winter, yay!
So I'm excited as you can tell with the whole maintenance thing.
I'm still working on reading the 'Thin Club' book. It's talking about exercise where I'm reading.
I'm really ready to get back to some scheduled exercise, even though I am keeping busy with the 'unscheduled.'
Thanks, again Sweet Patootie!

BTW, I love D.C. too. Wish we could meet there and pop in to see BIKI!

If we ever get back that way, BIK, you'd be the first one I'd call!
Yesterday we went to Walmart for a few things, and I saw behind the customer service desk a lady whom I attended WW with a few years back.
She was a WW assistant at the time and had lost over 100 pounds. She proudly displayed her before picture a hundred pounds heavier.
She looked so good then.
Yesterday, she looked as if she had gained it all back!
I didn't want to embarrass her by going over to greet her, but I felt so sad for her, because I knew she was not happy.
So I thought of myself and some of my fellow medibuddies.
How hard and diligently we all have worked to lose our weight, and how easy it is to gain it back.
Guys, let's don't let that happen to us...ever, ever, ever!!!
Nothing could be worth that...
Should I have gone over and talked to her?
Well, gotta go now and read some more of my 'Thin Club' book before turning in.
Nighty night!

That would be great. Joleen can tell you I am a lot more normal in person that I may seem on the board. I like looking at clothes a lot and so does she but we did have nice little chats too! It was very special to me. And as soon as I am invited to ANY event where I can get away with it, I am going back to that hat shop we went to and get me quite a chapeau!

Well I believe our job is to be of maximum service to God and others. What you might do is gather some Medifast info and quietly let her know how much weight you have lost and how long you have kept it off and what a life changing experience you have had on MF. NO hard sell. Just your testimony/experience and the literature and let her know she can call you with any questions.

AUG. 13, 2007 - 131.8# 8)

Thanks, BIK. Food for thought!
Weather is still scorching, here. Don't remember it being this hot before.
After church yesterday we went by our garden home to see the new granite counter tops.
Wowzer. Maybe I'll stay in the kitchen a lot more...
Hope your day is good, y'all.

Got in well over 12,000 steps today...
Will be so glad to get back on schedule, but all in all things are going well.
Ready to turn myself in pretty quick now.
Hope our heat wave breaks soon.
Keep cool, y'all!

AUG. 14, 2007 - 133#

Up very early this morning to keep dental appointments - weighed heavier for some reason.
I did manage to get in a 2-mile walk tape today and hoping to do at least a 10,000 step day!
So there you have it for today so far.
Take care, all and will try to check back in later...
and hope to check out a few journals.

I nearly always weigh more when I get up earlier than usual, Lizabette. I don't know why.

I guess I would have said hello to the woman, but I wouldn't have talked about Medifast unless she asked (this would be why I'm no longer an HA; ha). Depending on how long she kept off her weight before, I'm not sure she'd even be all that impressed.

Yeah, ROBIN, I thought about not even weighing this morning, but habits are hard to break.
Seems like the lady kept the weight off quite a while and then it crept back on slowly, I guess.
I'll probably try to say hello to her next time I'm in Walmart.
I'm not sure if she will even recognize me, since it's been a long time, and I was 65 pounds heavier then!
So you can see why it might be a little uneasy.
Say, isn't your one year anniversary on maintenance in a couple days?
I definitely want to be the first one to congratulate you!
CONGRATULATIONS!!! You Rock!

AUG. 15, 2007 - 132.1 8)

I really should get dressed and get busy doin' some packing...but I was diverted by some of the journal posts this morning...
getting my laughs for the day from BIK's antics...she really should write a book about her medifast journey!
Yesterday was spent mostly at the dentist's for DH. Three times!
Oh, yeah, I also helped my friend and daughter do some ordering for Medifast products.
Hope they do as well on it as I did!
Takes determination, commitment and huge motivation!
Everyone desires to be fit and skinny, but takes more than that, as most of us already know.
Well, gotta get up and just do it!

Thanks, Lizabette. But what is so weird is that most of the time I am not trying to be funny. I am very glad though that I can brighten members' days with my journal.

Good Evening Miss Liz :D
So how is that house showing these days?Any takers?

Im impressed that you are still squeezing in a tape or 2 during this heavy work time. Ok. I can hit the gym too, if you can. :jumprope: Im just trying to figure out eating at the end of the work day so I dont have to go home, then to the gym.

Have a pleasant evening.

Hey, HOL. Thanks for stopping by, sweetie.
Hope you can work out your schedule for your gym workouts.
I logged at least 18,000 steps today...that's with unscheduled exercise!
Packing and showing, packing and showing.
Actually things are looking pretty good house-wise.
Looks like some are working on financing, and several others interested.
It will take as long as it takes, but it shouldn't be long now.
We've scheduled our moving date to the 27th, and still have lots to do, so no time for dilly dallying.
Yeah, BIK. You're sometimes funny because you don't mean to be funny.
Anyway, you do give us a lot of joy, and can talk easily about things that make some of us blush!
There's only one BIKI!
Well, gonna turn myself in early tonight.

Hi There! Just stopping by to say hi. :wavie:

As I get closer to goal I think of you often (and Robin & Nancy). I hate to hear stories about people like the WW lady putting her weight back on. Scary. The fact that you continue to stay accountable says a lot. I know I won't be able to forget for a moment that the weight can come back if I don't stay diligent.
Good to hear things are coming along with the move. I think I mentioned we toy with the idea of downsizing someday, but just the thought of the process of moving wears me out! My hubby is one serious packrat! Oh well, I love him anyway! :D
Reached Goal Nov 2007 61.5 lbs lost
Gained 11 lbs in Mexico 3/08, decided to lose that along with another 5 lbs!
