You're killin' me. I'm eating 1350 a day, working out like crazy and not losing (then again, maybe it's time to try increasing my calories a little more again).

Lizabette, it sounds like you are moving from a paradise into a new type of paradise that will make life more convienent (and maybe easier) in many ways.

I hope your current home will sell quickly for you so that you can do the move soon since you've made the decision this is what you wish to do. :)

Hey you, ROBIN! I think the 'Thin' book I ordered is supposed to be at the bookstore, today.
Now when will I have time to read it with all that is going on?
Referring to your quote above. I think what adds to my calorie count is that I have one ounce of almonds, 1/3 cup of dried cranberries, and 1/4 cup prunes each day...added to my regular menu calorie counts.
It hasn't seemed to effect it too much, but still...
Yay, yesterday I couldn't go to Y, but I was well over 10,000 steps here at home, just doing necessary things getting ready for company and for appraiser-broker on our house.
Today, we'll go take pictures of the Garden Home (I like the sound of that) to see how our furniture will fit in.
And then go pick out the color for the granite counter tops. (never had granite before!)

Rushing here. BIKI, thanks for checking in even if you were lamenting over the jeans size deal. I empathize. Taller folks can wear smaller sizes even weighing more than me.
Well, just happy that I'm like I am, I guess.
TEE, girl. I'm pretty excited about everything. Even though I thought I would never want to leave the lake, I believe this will be a good move.
Anyway, the view from our back deck will be all tall trees and shrubbery. Not bad.
Send good thoughts our way for an easy transition. As everyone is aware it can be stressful, but doesn't need to be too much.
Thanks again, all...appreciate ya'.

I eat some of those things, too. I know how you get the calories; I just don't know how you can eat them and I can't! Although we'll see. Maybe my problem is still too few. I'm going up to somewhere between 1400 and 1450 for a few days to see what happens.

BTW, congrats on the new home!! I used to have granite countertops and I LOVED them.

Have you lived at your present house long? you may have already told us, sorry. The memories,,,, but now you can make new ones at the Garden House

Comforting words, HOL. We've only just started and I'm already tired, tired, tired! Business & packing!
We've lived in our present older lake home for almost 14 years since we retired.
Actually, we're going into a newer, and larger two story, when we really intended to down size, more.
But it is the convenient location and low maintenance that we think is best.
And we got more home for the price. And the stairs will do me good exercise-wise.
We can keep all our furniture and will have to add some. We'll take our time. I think we're gonna love it!
But I must remember to breathe. Thanks, sweetie!
ROBIN. I'd be interested to know how your increased calories plan works. I know you work out so much more than I do, so you may really need more fuel.
I didn't get by for my book today. We were out today running errands and stopped at Quizno's.
I got a great chicken ceasar salad, dressing on the side. Saved half of it and had the rest for L&G.
I picked out the granite for my counter tops. Black background---reddish brown speckles.(??) Gonna be gorgeous!
My eyes are drooping so I'd better call it a night. Thanks.

Wanted to get this in before getting involved in other pressing things today. Unlikely that I'll be posting much if any today, but it is hard to stay away...
Grats, ROBIN, on the lower scale reading today. In fact, you beat me today!
Doesn't matter much, it seems, what I do, 'cause the scale does what it wants to do, and not what I want it to do.
HOL, I'll try to take your advice, but you don't know my DH!! He is 'chomping at the bits' to get everything done right now!
It takes a little (a lot) patience, but I'm still working at it after over 60 years later!
Just want everyone to know that my posting will be sparse for a while here, but I'll try to keep up with my journal, whatever it takes!
I'm wearing my pedometer and if I see I'm not getting my steps in, I'll try to fit in a walking tape at some point.
TEE & BIK, and anyone peeking in my journal, thanks for checking up on me. Keep sending good vibes my way.

Thanks sweet QUEENIE. I appreciate those vibes you sent me today.
Hey, I got in my 12,000 plus steps today without a structured exercise.
Like killing two birds (not really) with one stone. Amazing, eh?
Take care...

Lizabette, you will be missed greatly every day that you aren't able to check in. Never think that your absence will not be noticed or that you don't add a lot to many of our lives. I enjoy reading what you are doing and I do hope the move is as stress-free as is possible.

JULY 28, 2007 - 131.5# - :)

Thanks, TEE. So nice of you. It is easy to get hooked on the Forum and to know how our MF buddies are doing. It helps in every way.

Things are going as smoothly as is possible under the circumstances.
I keep thinking about how much better it is, now that I am stronger and not lugging around a lot of extra weight in a situation like this.
It's hard to imagine how much we really accumulate until we start going through it and having to move it!
I guess it's good to make a move if nothing more than just to downsize what we have.
I'm looking around here in my office this morning and see so much that I am going to 'weed out', and presumable do a tag sale, or donate. (or trash!)

Well, no structured exercise for several days---but amazing that I'm getting 12-15,000 steps each day according to my pedometer.
We're looking for company today, some of our all-time school buddy and minister friends. They'll stay for 3-4 days.
They'll want to jump in and help if needed, but we'll slow it down for sure while they're here. And just enjoy.

Hey my weight is down a bit, so I must gloat to ROBIN, who is running neck and neck with me.
Especially since I can in no way keep up with her in the exercise department.
We both celebrate a year of maintenance next month. I think we should have a one-year maintenance party, don't you?
Yeah, she is a week or so ahead of me, but I keep saying that she started way before me.
UNCA, if you hear this, we should have some kind of designation for one year maintenance guys.

Well, gotta quite fiddling around and get started on doing something more constructive, if I can just decide what and where!
I needn't worry, tho'. DH will point me in the right direction!
Really, he's my pal, and we work hand-in-hand!

Liz!

I think we should all come down and help. Wouldnt that be something?
Tho, if you have that southern humidity, Im allergic to it. sorry.

Youve got me thinking about a pedometer. Going to get one.

Now, please take care of your back during this move. Ok? You could go soak in one of those adorable bath houses you have down there.

Oh, Phoo! HOL.
You would have to be allergic to our humidity. Any other takers who really like our climate? You could jump in the lake to cool off...
Okay about the pedometer, I posted something about that in your journal.
I may need to soak at the bath house spa, before this is over.
But it's not far away.
Waiting for company to come shortly, so we've cut off the work part and getting ready for them.
Fixed a pork loin roast, cabbage, carrots, potatoes in the slow cooker.
Some of that is on plan which I'll have, and you could too, if you weren't so 'chicken' about the humidity.
But it's the thought that counts!
