Hi Lizabette,

I love walking too. I walked 2 miles today, usually I walk 4. We live in an area upstate, NY with lots of hills and mountains. Lets just say, when I walk, I come home sweaty.

I love thunderstorms too. I also love snow storms. We home school so snow storms don't mean a day off of school, but I does mean snowball fights, sledding and a hot fire in the fireplace.

Have a great weekend.
God Bless,
Laura

HAPPY,
Your life sounds glorious and happy!. Thanks for sharing it.
We don't get a lot of snow, so not many snowballs.
Fire in the fire place, yes, how I love it when it gets the least bit COLD, we have an excuse to light up.
I really do welcome the home schooling situation, also. Your kids are very fortunate, and they are all smart 'cookies'!
Keep a stiff upper lip while your daughter is away, and stay steady in the M/F boat!
So glad you are here, LAURA, to add to the joy of our fellow medibuddies.

Looking forward to seeing all the good progress and accountabilty at Roll Call, tomorrow.

.

That's great. I wish I could do 4 miles but my back starts in on me too much. I was in physical therapy for it and was "cured" but long walks bring it back so I stick to right under 3 miles most days.

JUNE 24, 2007 - 131.2# 8)

Had a few minutes before leaving for church and dinner at a new Mexican place.
Heard tell it is the best place for Mexican. I'm sure I can get my regular chicken tacos (2) and salad. No rice and beans OR chips!
(Remember 'maintenance', folks!)
Today is my 'sortof' free day, and I get my favorite treat this afternoon.
Don't worry, I don't stray off my path very far. I care too much about my health and small size clothes.
I ain't no dummy!

3 miles is good, BIKI.
Stay where you feel comfortable.
4 miles pushes me a little, but glad I can do it.
Hope today is a great day for you...

Oh Lizabette - I love Mexican food. I hope you had a great time. I typically order tostadas in order to stay compliant - ground beef - and I ask them to keep off the beans and I don't eat the shell. But it has lettuce and tomatoes and is really good. I have only had it once since I was on program and I too stay away from the chips.

Hope you had a great weekend.

JUNE 25, 2007 - 132.3# :?

Weighing on the high end of my comfort zone. Kind of expected since yesterday was my sortof free day.
I still ate healthfully, except for my one special treat. And of course, no exercise on Sunday.
Anyway, it's usually back okay in a day or two.
Nice to know that on maintenance it can be enjoyable and doesn't have to wreck a food plan.

Thanks, SUE. I did have a good day.
Yeah, I like the tostados, too, but with the chicken instead of beef. Yesterday, I got 2 chicken tacos and a big salad! No chipperoos!
Sometimes we go Chinese, and I get salmon and veggies. Yummy, too!
So nobody really has to stay home and eat, if they don't want to. There are usually good choices in most places.
SUZY, you are doing so good with 50# gone and only 35+ to go.
Have you put up any 'during pictures'? I know you are looking great!
WTG!

Okay, I'm over my 'sad' and glad you're back.
I'm not the one guilty of stealin' your maintenance medallion just 'cause you went off gallavantin'. No sir, I wouldn't do a thing like that!

Hey, wouldn't it be really something to have a MF Cruise someday. Seems like there was some talk about one a long time ago...
Maybe we should petition NANCY about getting one up.
I'm ready and willin' to be part of that crazzzy bunch.

OK, we gotta send an SOS to UNCA and tell him to fork the medallion over.
UNCA, fork it over!

Hi Lizabette - I think a MF cruise would be wonderful. I think I mentioned that on somebody's journal - maybe it was Biki's - when Jo was heading to DC to visit her. A cruise would be awesome.

I haven't posted any 'during' pictures but I do have them. When I get a chance I will send them to Unca to post.

Thanks for all of your encouragement. It really means a lot to me.

Wowzer, I got so carried away about CHI"s cruise and BIKI's swimsuit pic that I forgot to mention the rest of my day.
Well, here goes.
I went with DH & friends to the Y, walked 1 1/2 mile and did a few of the machines, mostly tummy machines.
A while after lunch, we checked out a new fitness place and are considering joining that. Has more personalized fitness classes, etc.
I think I'm actually becoming an exercise addict.
As I've said before, though, only in moderation! I know my limits.
Tonight my maintenance type meal was shredded beef, baked sweet potato, salad, Ezekiel bread.
For my final snack tonight, about 7 p.m. or so, probably yogurt & fruit.

NICKI, you mentioned in your post you were going to experiment with a free dinner on Sunday.
Forgive me, babe, but that's not a good idea, to experiment with the program. It can lead to problems to deliberately do that!
I meant to post this in your journal, but I just thought of it, again.
The good stuff is still going to be there when you reach goal and you are maintaining.
That's kind of why I hesitate to mention foods off program, 'cause I don't want anyone to be tempted.
I honestly don't remember ever experimenting that way while on plan.
I was too intent on losing weight as quickly as possible.
Please don't feel badly at me for saying this, sweetie.
I'm so proud of you for changing your mind about that.
You did good.

Thank you so much SUZY. You're so sweet. I really do think a MF cruise would be awesome. They have them for everything else, so why not.
Nobody could have any more fun than we do!!!
Okay, You have confessed that you have some 'during' pictures.
Now I will impatiently look for them until you have them posted for all to see.
Please, please, pretty pulleeze!

JUNE 26, 2007 - 131.9# 8)

I do believe that our instuctor for SW weight resistance class takes great delight in making us work harder and harder and lifting more and more.
But you know, after it is over, it pretty good!
Anyway we did a 2-mile walking tape (30 min.) and the weights & stretching (1 & 1/2 hrs.)
I didn't feel a need to do any more today for sure.
So tomorrow at the Y it will be a 'piece of cake' with a mile walk and some machines for abs.

So afterward, I paid a visit to the Beauty College and had a divine pedicure and some work on my eyelashes and eyebrows.
Felt pretty good after that.
Then I stopped back by my favorite consignment shop for a beautiful Sunday-go-to-meeting dress that was being held for me.
You betcha, I will be all dyked out for the weekend.

Hey, tomorrow will be the last day to hear the maintenance call where NANCY gave a wonderful talk on "It's Never Too Late"
I was honored to be her guest for that call, and it was such fun laughing and talking with her and a few of you guys, including CHYNNA. The number to call can be found at:
http://www.makemethinner.com/forum/view ... hp?t=11314
I think you will enjoy it. Some of you have already told me how much you enjoyed it.
It really is never too late to get healthy and fit and be skinny for the rest of your life.
Now, I gotta keep going on the maintenance plan and exercise for sure!

Lizabette - you are doing a wonderful job with your workouts.

Just for you I will hunt down the pictures and have them posted. It just might take me a while to find them. I have to start searching on my cds.

Have a wonderful night and enjoy your workouts tomorrow.
