Congrats on the great job at maintenance. I'm not looking too forward to roll call because right now I only have a pound to claim but there's one more night! :)

Thanks, MARY and BIKI,
I'm happy with my maintenance so far.
Maybe we will always want to do just a little bit better!
But that is only natural, I think, and may be a good thing.

BIKI losing a pound (of butter) is a good thing, too!
See ya'll at Roll Call.

Dear Itsy ~

I just wanted to pop in here and tell you that I love your purse (naturally!) and your avatar - but not nearly as much as I love you!

I am so happy for you that you enjoy your inner leopardess and have discovered the joy of dressing fashionably. Now that you are at your ideal weight and feeling fit and comfy emotionally, doesn't it make it fun to go shopping and to dress up? I suspect that you have always done so even when you were a chubbette but it is a lot more fun now, isn’t it? Besides, now you can find many smaller clothes at garage sales and tag sales – the average woman has outgrown them and given up hope of ever getting back into them – we reap the rewards!

Terry and I were walking at the greenway in our area the other day and we saw so many people with canes, in scooters, etc. Many were about our age and it saddens me to see them living with the restrictions that obesity imposes upon one’s mobility. Strong Woman that you are, keep on keepin’ on – you offer us so much and we find you absolutely lovely inside and out!

Thank you, dear NANCY.
You always make my day when you pop in for a visit on my journal.
You got it so right that it is so much easier to shop for smaller clothes, anywhere I can find them.
And much more fun to wear them!
I always tried to dress as nicely as possible, but we know that it is not really possible to feel and look as good as we'd like to as chubbettes. Try as we might!
All of this we know by 'experience'.
And my heart goes out to those as you mentioned who are restricted by their obesity---and I wish I could help them someway.
About the leopard print purse. I always think of you NANCY, when I see something leopardy and beautiful.
I love it. Like you!

Silver Fox,
And my heart goes out to those as you mentioned who are restricted by their obesity---and I wish I could help them someway.

You're so sweet! I've also found the strong urge to help those that are struggling with obesity and miserable about it! I saw a couple of girls at Chili's yesterday complaining about their weight and the associated health problems as they got the chocolate death dessert...I just want to say, it's SO possible if you want to, a lot of us are living proof!

I think you do plenty to help people in your way. More than you know. You have been such an inspiration to me personally and watching you shine in maintenance is such a comfort to me because I KNOW I can follow in your footsteps and HOPE to maintain with a small percentage of the style and grace with which you have done it!

DEE,
If I could, I would grab you and give you the biggest hug!
You always say the nicest things to me and make me feel that I make a difference in your life.
Oh, I do hope so. You have been my friend from the beginning and no matter what, will always be.
I am so proud of your progress. You have come so far and are really only a short distance from your goal.
I want you to always be happy with your life as a fit and healthy person.
You have so much to live for, and you have the time and energy to make the best of it.
I  you.

May 28, 2007 - 130.4# - HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!

Image
"I feel good, I feel good, yessiree I feel so good!"

Just did a 2-mile walking tape (Leslie Sansone). Hey, the Y is closed today so what could I do?
Yeah, and I made it past a church dinner yesterday unscathed!
Well, I did go ahead and have my special Sunday treat, but that is a planned maintenance thing.
If it shows up tomorrow, I am used to getting it back down again.
I hope you all have a good day today with loved ones and friends.
Watch the BBQ temptations...plan out your meal ahead, and you'll be fine.
And better yet, you'll feel so good that you stayed on plan through yet another time of :boohoo: temptation and trial!
WTG!

No BBQ temptations here, husband is a vegetarian! I have only walked one mile today. My physical therapist said one mile at a time so you have put me to shame with your two miles! I guess I might try another mile in a little while but I feel a little tired now. Happy Memorial Day to you too!

BIKI, I wasn't one bit worried about you yeilding to temptation. You are a rock!
(Really I had no one in particular in mind!)
The two-mile walk really wasn't that hard. (I usually do one.)
The tape makes it more fun and easier it seems.
Tomorrow is Strong Women, where some light weights (for me) are used.
I do feel like I am getting some definition---like you were talking about in your journal post.
Oh, the things we do...

Strong Women today!

Hi there Mz Liz! I was thinking of you this morning. On Good Morning America (abc) there was a woman being awarded for her "strength and determination" doing a tuff period in her life. Her name was BJ Reed and when i saw her i said WOW she reminds me of my Liz..although you are much prettier:+)) she is quite an inspirational woman like yourself. I think you can read about it if you go to Good Morning America.

Your prayers are quite welcomed for Errin...thank you so much...and i am glad to be back too.

Your new avatar is ADORABLE:+)))

Love,

Chynna

Thanks, TEE. I am so glad you are here too. (I wrote this post to you earlier today, but guess I didn't submit it!)

CHINA, I want to thank you for the sweet compliment.
I did go to ABC and read about B.J. REED, and she is indeed a remarkable and inspirational woman.
At least one thing we have in common is the loss of a child. That does something to you, as you can imagine.
But you honor me with your kind words and I  ya for thinking about me in that way.
Keep us posted about Errin, reminding us to keep her in our thoughts and prayers.
I really want to say that you are a special and lovely addition to this forum.

MAY 30, 2007 - 130.5# RAINY OUT!

CHINA, One thing I know. We are members of the mutual admiration society. And, thing is, we really mean it....
Since it is rainy out, we're staying inside today. I did my DVD exercise tape early lest I get tied up and not get back around to it.
Tomorrow is my 9-month goal (135#) anniversary. That is going to bring back some unbelievable memories, you better believe.
I plan to go back and re-visit them.
Gonna fix tacos tonight, maintenance style.
Love my maintenance!
