MAY 10, 2007 - 130.7#
Yikes, it's late to be posting tonight...almost midnight!
I thought about letting it go, but decided to go ahead and post.
Today was one of those full days.
The morning was taken up with the Strong Women program, which began with a DVD on one-mile walking, warm up and stretching.
The rest of the time we worked with the hand and leg weights.
So a good workout and a good feeling of knowing I am doing something good for my body.
Hey, another cool NSV from our instructor. She asked me if I would mind helping her by being a role model for her while doing our exercises!
Well, wow, what could I say...ME being a role model!
Especially with many of the girl people being lots younger than I am!
Then later after dinner, our usual doggy walk/run, which is about 15 minutes.
Of course the rest of the day was spent on the usual business of life.
I did some creative work on three graduation cards, which included pictures of the graduates and personal messages on each one.
If I'm going to put time and energy in on making something, I want it to be something that will not be immediately tossed in the waste basket.
Next week will be graduating week for two grandsons, and company coming...my brother and wife from Las Vegas.
Mama duck is still at her post of duty. This should be about Day 21 when we first discovered her setting on her eggs in our party barge.
If anything comes of all this, it shouldn't be too long now.
So there you have it for what it's worth!
Sleep tight, all...

I want your life! How cool that you are such a strong example of fitness that you have been asked to be a roll model for others. You really do inspire me. I do walk but it is not at an aerobic level and I certainly don't use weights! In time, I hope to do both, especially once this back is sufficiently healed.

Thanks, BIKIPATRA!
Lest anyone envisions me hoisting those huge weights, I confess that we begin with 2 - 3 pound weights (each hand and can work up higher as we go.
The leg weights begin at 2.5# on each leg and already I think they should be heavier.
The walking...we try to get our heart rates up, so everything in moderation, thank goodness!
I hope your back gets better very soon. Not fun! Keep up your walking, 'cause that is so good for you.
You are doing quite wonderful, and I love your appreciation pictures.
Lots of piddlling things to do today, including some treadmill or walking tapes.
Take care today, my dear...

I thought of you yesterday, Lizabette, when I saw a sweet little wren earnestly building its nest in one of the hanging baskets on my patio!! It reminded me of the fledglings that just left your hospitable abode.

Have yourself a blessed Mother's Day!!

MISS MARY, So nice of you to think about me. I appreciate it!
Do you realize that you have lost 60 pounds... the same as me?
Did you lose all that since January 3, only 4-5 months?
If so, that is super phenomenal!
MARY, I must say, something about you has certainly changed. New hairdo?

Thanks TEE. You are just the nicest person to egg me on like you do.
Hey, I took in a couple garage (rummage) sales today...a couple tops, pants, jewelry, etc. as if I needed anything else.
I think I am a "sales addict", if there is such a thing.
If not, I have invented one!
I can't pass up a bargain, but you'll see, it is contagious!

Please have a wonderful Mother's Day.
I already have from my DH and great kids!

Ooooh, I'm starting to love garage sales too, Lizabette!

Last weekend I bought a beautiful silver rose bowl. Now, I'm on the hunt for golf clubs. Trouble is, to bring something new into my place, I pretty much need to get rid of somethign I already have or it just gets too cluttered!

I hope you have a lovely Mother's Day...I'm meeting my darling mom at the laundromat (laundry is more fun with a buddy!) and then we're going to her place where I'm going to give her a pedicure

MAVESSE, I can't think of a more thoughtful gift you can give your mom than a pedicure!
How sweet you are. I know she thinks so, too!
Happy Mom's Day!

Mavesse that is a sweet gift. When my mom was here last April my husband bought us mani-pedis and I discovered my mother had never had one! It was so cool to be there for her first one.

I am the same way on Ebay. If something I can wear is 2.99 or less I feel I have to bid!

That Was Then, This is Now!

Sixty and 1/2 years ago and NOW!
Thought it best to post this here instead of in STUDIO.
This is what BIKI calls appreciation pictures...
I appreciate you all, I appreciate Medifast,
but mostly I appreciate the LORD for everything that HE has done for us.
Which is more than I can ever tell.
