So, I was putting you at that age........it was a compliment and I didn't mean anything negative about it. I do remember Biki's photoshopping......but I thought she was comparing the lovely smile, the pretty jewelry and the gorgeous color of your hair to Lovey Howell....... A classy lady (both you and her).

TAWANDA, I knew you meant everything complimentary. I liked Lovey, too!
She was so, so sophisticated and dressed like a fashion queen in the middle of a desolate island! She added such class to the show!
I'm not quite in her age bracket, but thanks anyway.
BIKI does such a phenomenal job photoshopping!
Maybe she'll get back into it when she gets all rested up from her fantastic Hong Kong trip!
We'd better come up with a good idea for her, tho'! You could be a June Allison---she's DH's favorite actress! And I loved Bette Davis.
That's what we could call it, "MY FAVORITE ACTRESS (ACTOR)!"
What about that, BIKI?
No hurry, tho', baby!

MARCH 14, 2007 - 131.1 (Down one ounce!)

Seems unusual (for me) to stay almost the same each day. Maybe I have stabilyzed and I think I get in a food rut.
But when I love a certain thing I pretty much eat it every day.
Right now what I do most everyday is: (Remember this is Maintenance!)

Breakfast: Oatmeal with Craisins/ skim milk/flax meal
Lunch most days is: Lean Pocket Pizza Ultra Whole Wheat with veggies like green beans or spinach. (Or Soup)
Snack most days: Nature Valley Granola Bar (two in a package) with 1 Tbsp Peanut Butter. (or M/F bar)
Rest of the day, the L&G whatever that is, and another snack or three. (dairy fruit, Ezekiel bread, pudding, 12 almonds)
I actually don't strictly count calories, But I think I'm in the ballpark of 1200-1500 calories.
This could change if I find another favorite.
To lose another pound or so, I think I would need to cut out about 200- 500 calories a day.

Nothing much going on today, but needed to be accountable to you all!
I guess you know that does help me to be a good girl, and not jump off the 'maintenance' wagon!
Still doing the treadmill during DH's homeboundedness.
I think next week we will be back on the usual schedule of the Y three days and walking on off days.

I enjoy reading the progress of all you new guys, and especially to know how our maintenance clubbers are doing...

MARCH 15 - 131.5 ( ^4 oz)

Well at least I know it's not because I overate!
I'm actually happy that I am staying so close.
As I said last post that by cutting 200-500 cals. I can continue to lose another pound or so which is really all I think I should.
Also by exercising a bit more.
When I look at myself in the mirror, I am still  that I look 'normal' and continue to maintain...
when I have heard all my adult life that most people regain their weight right back and then some.
Guess they don't know everything!
I know DH is happy with me, even tho' he is still  that I seem to eat as much as I do and still not gain!
It just lets me know that I can maintain, by taking the right steps each day toward the BIGGER GOAL of staying thin and healthy.
It's in my hands!
Well, all for today, friends.

Most people DO gain it right back - and then some - but that's because they go right back to their old habits. They think once the "diet" is over, they can relax and eat whatever they feel like again. I think they also don't keep track of their weight as carefully as we do, and they don't do something about it as soon as they go up a couple of pounds rather than waiting till their clothes don't fit and they've gained 10 or 15.

We're not doing that, though, right? ;)

RIGHT ON, ROBIN!
Oh, I wish that everyone would take that advice.
It is difficult enough to get the weight to come off in the first place, slow as it may be, and then have all that effort wiped away!
I think I would have a 'screaming wheemy' if I gained 10 pounds :x
I have always looked up to you for sticking with the plan for so long until you finally made it.
Of course, as you said, it really isn't over, but at least can enjoy ourselves and have a great sense of accomplishment ,
and look really great while we're working on the 'rest of the story'.
Thanks for your input.

Hi, Lizabette ! Well, I have been reading you the past few days but not commenting too much in general. Thanks so much for updating your journal and giving insights to what a maintenance meal day might look for you. It helps me so much to get an idea of what's in my (near ) future.

You are doing great ! And, as always, I so much appreciate your attitude and your generous spirit. Such a great example.

Cheers,
Karli

MARCH 16 - 131.5
Thanks KARLI. You are one sweet girl.
I don't want to be boring, when I have very little to report.
I remained the same on the scale today. I definitely have stabilzed at least for now.
I will have to decide whether to put forth more effort in dropping a few more pounds or try to stay as I am.
I prefer the former. ;)

KARLI, you are doing so good and almost at goal...and trying to decide whether to go ahead and touch goal or what!
I hope you will since it will give you a great sense of accomplishment, which it will be!
Also there is some fluctuation in transition and maintenance and it feels good to stay below goal, if just a tad!
Your exercise schedule is something else! Makes my head spin when I read it in your journal!
Seems like I am just standing still with mine...
Any way you are quickly becoming the MF Fitness Queen! WTG!

MARCH 17. 2007 - 131.4 ( 1 OZ DOWN!)

How is that for staying the same? But not to get my hopes up that "the other shoe will not drop"!(from JO's post)
It is taking it by faith that the scale will not desert us all of a sudden and pay us back for forcing it to obey!
But the thing is that we can take control if it does jump up some, we can knock it back down again :x WHAMO!

We hope we can be an encouragement to soon-to-be maintainers.
You really can make it work for you! You have some great role models here...and more on the way!
Keep up the good work!

MARCH 19,2007 - 132.1

UhOh! The other shoe has dropped.:uhuh:
I have been up almost a WHOLE pound for two days now.:whattha:
This has got to stop! :x
I have been taking a few tiny little 'liberties' (not even 'that much') and it shows!
You know, an extra 100 calories a day for a month will cost a pound unless balanced out by extra exercise!
So, girl,(I says to myself) take the bull by the horns :stickwack: and cut to the chase!
And that is the moral of this story...

BTW, I get to start back to the Y today. D'ya think that will help?
:?:

Lizabette, sounds like you are losing control!!!!   Just kidding! Exercise can be helpful so if you feel up to it, go for it and stop taking those little "liberties" before you turn into a libertine!
