As I get closer and closer to goal and think more about maintenance I can't seem to get a real picture of what it is going to be like. Checking in on you and watching you manage your weight has been inspirational, so no, It isn't boring having you post your weight! :)

I haven't decided on a final weight, but my 165 goal seems pretty good and hopefully something I can maintain. I am worried if I go much lower I won't be able to maintain it.
Reached Goal Nov 2007 61.5 lbs lost
Gained 11 lbs in Mexico 3/08, decided to lose that along with another 5 lbs!

Hey, thanks to you three Medi-musketeers, HOL, MICK, and BIK!
All of you thinking about maintenance goals. GOOD!
My un-expert advice is to reach the goal you have now...CELEBRATE... maintain a while and then decide if you can or want to go lower.
I tried to go lower to 130 and below. And hit it only a few times.
I seem to be able to hold a couple pounds under my original goal with the amount of calories and exercise that I do.
I think it would be a constant struggle if I went much lower and that might be discouraging...
So it's a comfortable place for me right now. For well over a year now!
HOL, I still can't believe you are shooting for 118! What are you, about four ft tall? 'Course you're still just a kid, so I guess that's okay.
Yeah, baby, I don't want the hubs stuff to jump on me!

You are all doing excellent, and you get an "A+" on your medi-report card!

I weighed 118 once! When I was 10 or 12. No, really, I got down to 114 once when I was maybe 20, while on WW and it lasted about one day.
After that, it was a constant one diet after another---and look where it got me!
135 - 140 sounds reasonable for you. Check your BMI for the best weight, and shoot for that! :treadjog:
(Reminds me, I need to check mine, too.)
Thirty years married is good! In October (6th) we'll celebrate 61 years!
We decided that after our fiftieth, we could probably make it the rest of the way together!
Who would marry someone in their 70's anyway! Well, yeah, I've seen that happen too.
In December, it's the BIG 78 for me! Sure glad I don't feel that old. 'cept this morning, like that picture!
Enjoyed chattin' with you HOL. Thanks for stopping by and waking the ole gal up!

Nice of you, JOY, to read up on me.
Actually not much here today, just a little reminiscing.
But hey, missy, remember you're nearly half way and almost at the point of no return!
So no turning back, as I did for so many years before I had Medifast to propel me on.
I'm sure I told you already what great pictures of you in Studio.
Just think how your final 'after ' picture will be. Whoohoo!
"You'll have the joy, joy, joy, joy down in your heart...down in your heart to stay."
Silly, I know...but right now I'm just feeling a little silly!

I do not think it is silly, I think you are adorable and the 'joy, joy, joy' is charming.

SEPT. 23 - 132.7# 8)

Thanks, JOY. You're a sweetie pie!
Reminds me, On Sunday, my favorite special once a week treat is a piece of Marie Callendar's Lemon Meringue Pie.
(Note: They're costly, but when we find them on 2 for 1 sale, we stock up the freezer!)
Gotta remember, tho', this is one of the rewards of Maintenance, and I love it!
DH is still under the weather so we'll stay home today from church today.

BTW, Check out my one year maintenance pics in STUDIO. Hope you like it!

I saw the photo and replied a post.

I do miss fruit pie, but I figure that it will only be until January when I reach my goal. Then perhaps once a week I may treat myself. I also miss pizza; not the frozed stuff I buy for my kids for snacks or school lunches, but a really loaded slice with bacon. That may be a treat I can have once a month once I move over to maintenance. Otherwise, I do not feel like I am suffering, missing out on anything. A feast of thin I tell myself and good health will taste better than eating because I need to comfort my self.

I do hope your Mr. will be feeling better soon.

regards,
joy

Thanks, JOY.
I appreciate your post on my Studio pics. So many nice comments, it gives me incentive to continue to do good and not let others down as well as myself!
That piece of pie was soooooo good today. It'll be a whole week before I will give myself permission to have another slice.
During my weight loss phase, I didn't touch anything like that.
I had this mantra, that if I didn't take the first bite off plan that I would be fine.
It gave me a great sense of control.
So on maintenance there is still a need for that control. Some things I simply don't allow myself and I don't really feel deprived at all!
If I have a homemade cookie offered me, and I decide to eat it, then I try to make up for it in some way during the day.
Just like I did the lemon pie today!
This past year, I've learned it's just going to have to be a 'way of life'...

You know how to say the right thing, BIK.
Believe it or not, I sometimes wonder if it helps to continue posting the same old thing every day.
So thanks for letting me know...
