Hey, Lizabette. I think our journals should stay right here with everyone else's, personally. More people look here, and I think it would have been encouraging for me when I started if I'd seen more maintainers around. One of my biggest concerns at the time was that the only poster who was in maintenance was Nancy.

Plus we've had a few folks restart recently, some of whom had reached goal but gained back some of the weight. So what about those people? Do they move their journals over when they hit goal, but then have to move them back if they gain a few pounds? IMHO, I think we oughta stay right where we are.

I agree with Robin. Anyone who hangs around long enough gets to know who the maintainers are and most of us keep our journals up to date (at least most of the time  )

I see the maintenance thread as a place to post specific maintenance material, questions, etc.

Just my 2 dollars.

Well, it 'ppears I have been outflanked!
ROBIN & JO. Thanks. Course I can see that you are right.
Guess I thought it would be easier, and I was maybe feelin' a 'little bit weary in well doing'.
But KATIE's post cinched it for me.
Maybe we maintainers do play a more important role than I thought.
Thank you KATIE.

TEE & MICKEY. Thank you, too. I know I'm a winner and I'm glad you think so too.
Winning is, after all, a state of mind.
I appreciate your being here.

JULY 13, 2007 - 132.3 8)

My 'puter went bonkers yesterday and unable to post. It was repaired today so getting my post updated.
My weight yesterday was 131.7
Also yesterday was SW weight resistance class, walking 1 mile and about an hour of weights and stretches.
Today, the rain deterred our going to the Y for walking or water aerobics, so all the exercise today was about 15 minutes of walking the babies, after the rain let up.
I hope to make up for it tomorrow (Sat)
I've read a few posts but haven't posted much. Some days are like this.
I am so proud of all our 100 Day Cheat Free Challengers!
Stay strong, guys. You will be rewarded with a healthier and skinnier body! YAY!

JULY 14, 2007 - 132.2# - 8)

WOW, I feel really pumped this morning!
I just finished my 4 mile fast walking tape.
Whoohoo! I am getting younger all the time.
On the tape Leslie said that if you are 40 and doing the advanced walking, that you are like 10 years younger in body.
So do the math... 77 minus 10 equals......
I am now having one of my favorite snacks.
Fr. Van shake (11 gm. protein) and finished filling my big Minnie Mouse mug with coffee, added some DaVinci syrup and nutmeg.
(Of course, then heated in the micro.) But I have done it iced, too. YUM!
Hope that TEE is having her coffee break with me right now!
And that BIK is out on her long, relaxing walk.
You all have a good, compliant, challenging day and 'course we'll see you on Sunday Roll Call.

Good evening!

Postby Joy » July 14th, 2007, 8:33 pm

Hi,

Thank you for stopping over and giving me a cheer - I loved it. I did select three photos and sent them off to UNCA_Tim, one for my avatar and the other too as before photos. I just look so big in them and my smile is not an honest happy smile. But I believe that may be how it is for lots of folks with their phots too.

Wow I see you had a 4 mile speed walk today, nice. I have to get my fanny out with my Golden - the silly boy is also over weight. He has a boot on one paw because he chew much of his pad off. He is nerotic during the 4th and we have had extended fireworks because of some small town celebrations. I will take him out tomorrow and see how far we can get.

take care,

JOY, glad you dropped by. And I sure do like your new avatar and studio pictures, 'specially the generation picture.
Golden sounds like our 2 babies when the fireworks start. We walk/run them every evening, mainly because they insist on it...stalking us until we do.
But we love 'em.
I don't do the 4-mile every day...once or twice a week. The other days is one or two miles, along with strength training on two days, light weights.
But try to do something everyday, except Sunday is rest day.
(The babies don't let us have a rest day!)
Well, I've got to get around for church and other things this morning. Thanks again for coming by.
Keep up that 100 Day Challenge and we'll all be amazed at the changes.
Take care, girl, and come back now, you hear!

Lizabette,
Which one of Leslie's tapes are you using? I have one of her older ones and use it in the winter when I can't get out. I have one that is really old, she has some lady from weight watchers on it. It drives me crazy because Leslie talks to everyone like they are about 6 years old! I turn the sound off! I was thinking of getting a new one so I was wondering what you have and how the quality is.
