MAY 23, 2007 - 132.7# No way! What a fluke! :x

I know I will need to be especially aware today with my scheduling already going haywire.
Up at 5 a.m. to help company depart. (BIKI time!) I weighed then. First mistake!
Hungry. Eat breakfast too early.
Okay beware the rest of the day, according to my Weight Commander software when I entered my weight! :puter:
Funny how some programs have a sick mind of their own. :x
I tell you, it would have been easier to feign pneumonia than to have to account today.

Going to the Y today, after missing 3 days of exercising.
Love company, but it and other activities does a number on routines.
This week I should be back to my ('JO') comfort zone!
Had a really great time yesterday...toured downtown Bathhouse Row and shops with our company.
I latched onto a fabulous leopard print purse with aligator trim!
My wont' power overcomes my willpower over purses, and especially an animal print 'anything'!

Thanks, BIKI, about the avatar. I like to change once in a while. No new hair color or anything like that.
Tip for the day: Stick with your schedule!

Okay, SOJI, DEDE and MAVESSE, I take it you all like my leopard print purse. I think I will enjoy it very much.
Thank you for poppin' in to tell me what you think.

Today was my Strong Women class and it is a good workout. First we walk a mile by tape, then do the weights and stretches, etc.
I think I already feel stronger boned---can't help but help.
Tonight we'll be going to a quartet singing at church, and there will be lots of desserts available.
Well, I hereby serve notice that I will take a bar with me and avert my eyes from the dessert table. Proud of me, huh?
Getting ready to leave shortly, so need to sign off til later.

MAY 25, 2007 - 129.9# - Back in good maintenance land.

Like I said, scheduling does make a differernce, and for today I am back in my comfort zone.
(But really I would feel safer if I had a few less pounds of comfort.)
I so agree with what JO said, "The maintenance thing is such a head game!"
It is scary if we let it be. Especially if we let our selves think ahead to our future.
So far, after almost nine months on maintenance, most of the time I feel pretty confident, but not necessarily all the time!
But we have so many good examples of those who have done this for many years if we look for them.
Will it ever be completely ingrained that we simply enjoy where we are and live life to the fullest, without turning to food to make us happy.
In the meantime, we still take it a day at a time.
Today,I skipped Y water aerobics and substituted an exercise tape. I feel good that I am doing what I can to stay fit and healthy.
It is a small investment in time and energy.
But the fact is, being afraid of maintenance is counterproductive.
We first must get to the goal we set.
Get there and then take up the challenge of being that person we dream now of being.
Thank God, I know it is a possibility for me and for all who believe!

Hi Lizabette - I really love the new avatar. I finally broke down and sent a picture to Unca to place for my avatar - Chynna and also Biki helped me in making that decision. Hopefully that will be up soon.

I love the purse. One of my daughters convinced me last year to buy a flashier purse - it was by the designer Kathy Von Zealand (sp?) and I now tend to buy those types of purses. Now when my friends see a flashy purse they say it's a Sue purse. Too funny.

I hope you have a great holiday weekend and will be able to enjoy your boat.

Well, thank you, SUSYQ,
I will be waiting patiently for your new avatar. I wish that it was 100% for everyone to have a picture avatar!
It is much easier to relate to someone if we can see who we are talking to.
Glad you like my purse.
I would love to see your 'Sue' purses.
Now if I see a purse by your designer, I will pay special attention.
A happy holiday weekend to you too, my dear.

Oh, SUSYQ, I do like your avatar! Thank you.
You are a beautiful woman, and how much more so when you reach the goal you desire.
You're coming up on 50 pounds with only 40 more to go. WTG!
I'll be watching your progress.

Thanks Lizabette - my hair is usually straight as a board but I had my hair done several weeks ago and they suggested curling it with rollers - seeing it in a picture looks strange to me. Thanks again!!

MAY 26, 130.9#

A Review of my maintenance weight:
Today - 130.9
30 days ago - 131.3
60 days ago- 130.8
90 days ago - 130.8
Well, it's pretty consistent. Whatever.

SUE, your curly hair looks very nice. So glad you posted it.
Thanks, BIKI. I used to have dark long hair like you. But that was then, and this is now!
I finally let it go naturally gray, and have a practically no-maintenance hair do.
When I mention adding color, everybody nixes that, so...
Did an early walking tape--got that over with.
Tomorrow is reckoning day--Sunday Roll Call,
Hope we all do great!

Indeed, Lizabette! I wonder if our "healthy weight" is somehow imprinted in our bodies? Your's has certainly found its comfort zone! :D Congratulations on maintaining--you are such a good example (in so many ways)!!
