Yes, being called a wisp does sound lovely. And, how wonderful that your daughter saw your success and felt encouraged by that. That speaks quite highly of your example.

Have a happy holiday Lizabette !

JULY 6, 2006

After threatening glares and mumblings, my finicky scale finally yielded up 144.9 POUNDS…
That's 50 POUNDS LOST, people!
Banished forever into "FAT HADES" where it really belongs!

I'll be back with more today, but just had to make the BIG announcement to begin another wonderful MF day!

JULY 7, 2006

JOY, The Wisp thanks you and I thank you. You're sweet!

I get a little amused when I read where someone posts disappointment at having lost only 2-3 pounds in a week.
I WISH!
I feel thankful for any amount! At least it's going in the right direction.
It's another thing when the number goes up though...so we won't go there!

Oh, I was so elated that I finally reached the 50# mark legally today!
I think I had better not weigh now until Sunday,
lest that scale decides it made a mistake and tries to correct it!
It has happened before!

Only ten pounds to goal sounds a little scary in a way. I am thinking, "What do I do when I get there?"
I wondered if I should call my HA and ask her to lead me through each day what to eat and do for awhile.
It's been so long since I was at that weight, mainly because everytime I got anywhere near close to it,
I guess I freaked out and away I went half cocked!

As long as I stay on program, I feel safe!
That is why this is so easy to keep losing the weight.
Just keep doing what I am doing!

I love reading about those of you who are now swimming in your clothes!
What an exciting feeling. JOY said she was even a little sad sometimes at having to give up some of her favorite clothes.
I have experienced that too. Odd, huh?

I am on my second and third go-around in getting rid of clothes in my closet.
Where before I kind of pushed them aside...just in case!
Not this time!

Too bad for me if I gain weight.
I would deserve to have to spend a fortune to buy all new things.
I would desrve to have all my friends and family feel ashamed of me.
Not to mention my own shame for having failed again!
That's not all I would deserve! Silver Fox would have to use the 'stick" on me. :whip:

No to all of these. Failure is not an option!

JULY 7, 2006

143.7 This morning. I love you, scale!
I drank a ton more water yesterday and I just had to check to see if it made a difference.
And it did!
And it was so much easier---I drank it at room temperature and it seemed to go down so much better.
The rest of my day went much the same, with my 5 & 1.

Here's my yesterday's food.
Hot Drink-Chai Latte/ mixed with 1 C coffee
Oatmeal
Chicken/Rice Soup with MF crackers
Bar
Boca burger with spinach
Peach Oatmeal muffins (recipe on the box)
AND tons of water, about 16 cups, room temperature!
(Walked 30 minutes with DH after dinner.)

Love you DEDE, Thanks for the YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYA!
(Yeah, 10# to go, no, 9# to go. Feels unbelievable!)
Love you, too, LORI. Thanks for the nice compliments!
Love you ALL for your help and support.
And love you Medifast for giving me back my health and "thinnier-ness!"

Hi

I'm just so happy that you're going to get yourself into transition and maintenance. Then you'll be a pro at it while I transition and I can whine and cry to you about how to do it! You're doing so well! I'm glad you're doing the increased water! I drink my water at room temperature as well!

Thanks MICHELLE, Your posts are always an encouragement to me.
Thanks DEDE, always love hearing from you. I mentioned in your journal that your new avatar picture is Gorgeous!.

Well, since you mention transition and maintenance, I'm going to begin giving it a lot more thought and study.
And I will be happy to hear you whine and cry any old time you feel like it!
It's a little scary, tho', without the safe haven of MF discipline.
But I believe that I am learning some of what I will need to do.
Even so, I plan to continue using some MF products for some of the extra meals.

I went ahead and weighed again today, and wowie, zowie, I was at 51.5 # loss!
I read in an article that during maintenace those who weighed daily kept the weight off better.
Okay, I am not quite there, but almost!

That water has really helped. Amazing what a little sacrifice of drinking lots of 'free' water can do for the weight...
...at the same time, it is the healthy thing to do.

I have one pack of oatmeal left and maybe 4-5 days before I get any more, so I am hoarding it for a special time.
I have to shake my menu around a bit, because I have oats at least once or twice a day every day!
More shakes or pudding today!

Yesterday ,my day was pretty typical.
Oatmeal, hot drink with coffee, chicken noodle soup, bar, L&G (chicken/veggies) chocolate pudding & Soy Crisps. And lots of water!
A 30 minute walk with DH in the evening.

Hey, did any of you notice that your shoe sizes are shrinking along with your clothes sizes?
I have a WalMart bag full of shoes that no longer fit!

Happy Day to You All!

Yep my feet got skinnier too. I guess I was an in betweener. I had some 8 1/2 and some 9's. Now the 9's are all too big and I fit in every 8 1/2 I try on. I must have had really fat toes.

Lizabette, I see you suceeding in maintence already. I think weighing in everyday helps to keep you on top of your weight before it piles back on before you know it. You are a great lady and I hope you will help some of us when we get to maintence.
