Tell me, where did you learn so much about Arkansas, 'specially about bug's ears?

Lizabette, I lived in Arkansas (Ft. Smith/Van Buren) from 1980-1984. It was, shall we say...very interesting! I still break out in an accent whenever I'm around someone else with an accent - and I still use a lot of the sayings (as I'm sure you've noticed!)...they just pop into my head all the time. I still say "reckon," "y'all," "fixin,'" and "yonder" all the time, too!

And if that ain't true, grits ain't groceries, eggs ain't poultry, and Mona Lisa was a man!

MARCH 6, 2007 - 131.2#
Had a really neat NSV today. Was making out the check for the Pest Control man , and he asked,
"Did you sign it 'skinny'?" Hey, I told him, you know how to make a girl feel good...to which he said, "You earned it!"
Yeah, I really did earn it. It cost me dearly (in a good way!) and I wouldn't change a thing! I have earned so much, I can't tell it all!
You know what? I'm thinking of entering the 2007 Medifast Star contest. So what if I'm not one of the winners? It should be a lot of fun.
Do you have any advice or tips for me?
It's not as if I'm entering the Miss America Pageant, you know...

SOJI, you are all-wise! What do you reckon I should do?
Something I know I shouldn't do. DON'T gain any more weight!!!

I really think you should enter the Medifast Star Contest. You earned it You are a real inspiration. Even if you dont get picked YOU are a winner in my book.

Oh, and it sounds like the pest control guy is an extremely intelligent fellow as well.
