Today, I'm up a little on my scale. It happens, as we all know.
Here is my accounting report.
Feb. 6 --- 135.5#

BIKI, keep getting those ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ's.
Research says that the proper amount of sleep helps with weight loss! (At least 7 hours each night)
I don't always practice what I preach! :lol:
But I'm doing much better than before...
In fact EVERYTHING is better than before!:heart:

FEB. 15, 2007

Guess what? Weather man says it should snow today and I see a few flurries when I look out the window.
We actually don't get much snow here, and when it does, it usually doesn't stick very long.

Yesterday, Valentines Day, DH took me to a nice dinner at Olive Garden and I tried to pick the entree which would cost me the least calories.
Shrimp Primevera. There was also pasta, but I ate only a few pieces. The salad was good and had a couple bites of the bread stick.
The rest of the day, I made up the difference and this morning I was back at 131#.
I guess you might say, I just maintained !

We are invited by friends to a church buffet today, and I'll bet you know what those are like!
But I will probably have some good choices. I'll be okay.
Much as I enjoy all this, it does present a challenge to my mini-goal of reaching 130# and maintaining!
Sure hope you all had a great Valentines Day, and today will have a nice one too. :heart:

Lizabette, good for you on making wise choices while eating out! I know that is going to be a difficult one for me to master as I don't eat out very often so it is a huge treat when it happens---and I want to eat it ALL! :? But one battle at a time and I have you and others who are handling the eating out temptations, making the right choices and sharing how you are doing it---all good things to read and for me to mentally practice.

You are inspirational and I enjoy reading your journal.

FEB. 16, 2007 --- BRRRRRR, 20 degrees COLD OUTSIDE!
And wouldn't you know I have an appointment that can't be easily changed this morning.
We had some more snow flurries and moisture last night and hoping the roads are not slick.
Anyway DH is driving me, so I'll leave it up to him to keep me safe.

Thanks, TAWANDA. You are hanging in there. It will get easier as you go along about eating out.
Planning ahead is key to that. Where you go, and deciding what you will have is not all that hard,
and you don't want to always be missing out on the good things of life.
I think it was your journal that discussed the scale/weighing issue, and I wanted to contribute my thinking,
but got too busy reading everybody elses.
But I'll try to get to it...maybe today!
BTW. The scale looked better today. Notice I am in the 130's again.
Oh, I love the digital scales because they let me see the OUNCES. As all of us are aware in this journey, EVERY OUNCE COUNTS!

FEB. 17, 2007 - NEW MINI-GOAL 130#

I changed my ticker this morning to reflect my new goal of 130#.
Whad-da-ya-think!
NOW, comes the challenge to maintain it for the long haul!
This is almost as 'scary' as the first time around...and I'm thinking,"What do I do now?"
I've got to stay cool, calm and collected...that's what,! And then do what I know to do.
Transistion/Maintain! Commando Medifast! (TAWANDA)

I will:
*Weigh each morning and record it
*Write in my journal notebook everything I eat
*Eat breakfast, almost always oatmeal
*Still do six small meals & snacks each day (includes 2-3 M/F)
*Drink the water
*Exercise 6-7 times week for 30 minutes
*Stay accountable to all of you (Especially to BIKI, who is keeping such close tabs on me. Thanks!)
*Still get all the help I can get from you and reading materials, etc.)
