SEPT. 11, 2007 - 131.2# 8)

Thanks, HOL,
Not to worry about the refinishing. The table top is looking quite good being we are not professional refinishers.
Can't wait 'til my new chairs come to complete the look.
Still a lot of boxes to be unpacked, especially in my closet.
I really must not need all that stuff, 'cause I'm not missing it, really.
Anyway, it does take a lot of time to get it all done...meantime I plan to keep doing my water aerobics three times a week, and more stuff, if possible.
Since moving my VCR and DVD player are not hooked up correctly, so need to get that corrected for my other exercise.
I'm so proud of how well you are doing and your absolutely positive attiitude!
You're the berries, HOL!

It's weird, I walk by the Marine Barracks on my walk which is considered a military base. And they just had their one guy standing in front like always. I guess I would have expected heightened security.

SEPT. 13, 2007 - 131.3# - 8)

Accounting for myself and still maintaining withing good range.
Good water aerobic session yesterday. Unscheduled exercise lots of walking at home today.
Only two weeks (Sept. 28th) until the auctioning of our lake home and extra shop, land and party barge.
Meantime continuing to unpack and arrange things in new garden home. Making good progress.
Send the good thoughts and prayers this direction. I know it will help.

I see your little frowny face there, Lizabette. I don't think you need to worry that you might be up a tad unless it hovers up there for a while. I am learning that our weight fluctuates so much within the day, and from day to day, that you really have to look at trends to see how you are doing instead of daily numbers. You are doing amazingly with maintenance so no more frowny faces!

Okay, NICK,
I didn't think anyone would notice the frowny face. It's just that I'd like to stay a little lower...oh, well.
At maintenance weight fluctuates more I think, than in the weight loss phase.
It works that way with me at least.
But as we try new things...like I had cornbread and buttermilk with my baby lima beans last night...I figgered it was a little too much
Tonight I had a chicken burrito, with the low carb tortilla, so I'm hoping to be okay with the scale tomorrow.
You are going to be fine, NICK. Keep working on it...oh, yeah...your hubby was just trying to be helpful when he suggested seeing a therapist.
Don't be too hard on him and beat him up or anything! :-P
See you in the funny paper, sweetie.

Thanks for the encouragment, Lizabette. And I won't give the hubby a hard time - I just might gently remind him that if I'm going into counseling, maybe it would be good for him to go, too. We both want to be physically and mentally fit to make the best life for our children and ourselves.

Hope your burrito was good and just the right amount of everything you needed today. :)

You got it NICK. That's a powerful goal.
It all goes together... body, soul and spirit! Your children are very fortunate that you are reaching for it.

Gotta tell ya the good news!
Our new furniture came yesterday. Sofa and love seat for our formal living/dining room.
BUT, the dinette chairs for my antique table thrills me the most. You know, the one we refinished ourselves!
DH sanded off old varnish, while I vacced and kept the dust from flying. After the new stain, we put 5 coats of poly. We're proud of it.
The sturdy chairs are of fully welded steel chair frame, with wood back and seat. Just love 'em...so wanted to share an 'appreciation' picture.
