I got the spray-on tan before I went to Cleveland and it was no big deal, I could have gotten the same or actually better results from the stuff I have at home for free,it's in a bottle and it is called SUN in big orange letters on the front, it works better and gives you the most beautiful, natural tan.

That stuff never works on me :( Maybe I am doing something wrong? I just turn orange even though I wipe off my ankles, knees and elbows etc... I am so fair, I can't sunbathe. Am I destined for alabaster the rest of my life?>???!!!! :x

Jergens has a great product now. I think it is called Natural Glow. It is a moisturizer with just a hint of a tanner. They make a version for fair skin and a version for darker skin. I'm pretty fair, and I used the darker version. It takes about a week of daily applications to build the color. Then you just have a nice sunkissed look. No orangey appearance, just a nice "glow".

Oh la la.. this is fun.

1) THIGH.HIGH.BOOTS.

2) Visit my older, bi*chy sister who had a gastric bypass and who always says things to me like "Why don't you just lose the weight? It's not *that* hard!" (yeah, this coming from a girl who had to have HALF her stomach removed to lose weight.)

3) Run. Run run run. Run around the block, run with my kids, run just for the fun of running.

4) Take my name off the LAME Bryant mailing list.

5) Get new boobs. After breastfeeding 3 kids, I NEED it.

6) Get my mom on Medifast. My mom is heavy and after I reach goal I am gonna help her do the same.

7) Wear shorts and slip dresses in the summer, INSTEAD OF JEANS and long-sleeved and 3/4 sleeved t-shirts!

And I have many many more things :)

Tee hee.. thanks Heather and Strawberry!

Heather, regarding LAME Bryant, OK, so, we have the LB store, which is NOT affiliated with the LB Catalogue... my question, which is WORSE?

The LB Catalogue sells weird polyester tiger print mumu things with crochet necklines. And nifty 90% polyester , 10% spandex seafoam green "designer" lounging outfits, just in case you really need to look like a fat stalk of celery.. or something. And let's not forget their "novelty print dresses" with pictures of things like kittens wearing sunhats and COTTAGES screen-printed on them, because nothing screams "sex appeal" like wearing a dress with a picture of a freaken' HOUSE on it!

The LB store sells what I like to refer to as "Hipster hoochie" clothes, because if you want to be a "stylish" plus size woman you MUST wear halter tops and miniskirts -- I don't know about you, but I LOVE showing off my knee flab and the stretch marks on my upper arms! Oh boy!

I enjoy terrorizing my husband with the LB, Jessica London and Romans catalogue (Because you know if you get one in the mail, you get all THREE! That's right, triple the ugliness to choose from!!!) by cutting out the ugliest outfit I can find and drawing hearts all over it and arrows reading "Oooh! I want this! GORGEOUS!" and tacking it to my 'fridge. He is never as amused as I am. :)

Thanks for alerting me to the fact that Carbs left a vacancy in the 10 pound club and has now joined the 20 Pound Club! Woo Hoo!

So sorry that I missed that! I must be outta my mind...summer is waning. Rain is supposed to begin tomorrow (she groans) and I was yanking rhubarb, tomato plants, dead-heading the 80 geranium plants and the nasties (nasturtiums) while my sweetheart was sanding the front porch deck. I was scurrying around here gettin' ready for fall.

Unca comes back to the states late late Saturday night and Terry and I went for one last drive in his new red convertible....because we can! :drive:

:secret: Carbs, I kinda like those Hoochie Mama clothes - no cottages for me but I dolike the animal prints. Tonight I was wearing me zebra striped skirt, black spandex shirt with slit sleeves and black and white slide heels...

Hahaha Carbs you always make me laugh and I love it! Hoochie mama... my mom calls those clothes the Lache La La look!

Anyway, there are a few things that I can't wait to do once I hit goal.

Firstly, there'll be no hoochie mama or Lache La La for me. I want to be able to fit in all the vintage fashions I drool over on Ebay, i.e. the satin, bias cut dresses a la Rita Hayworth, the pencil skirt, tailored suits and stylish hats like Ava Gardner and the beautiful corsets, lingerie and cuban heeled stockings like Bettie Page! I also want to be able to wear my 4 inch heels without eye watering pain! So far I've managed a small collection of 1940s hats and I'm slowly acquiring dresses which are based on my measurements when I was 135lbs. Can you believe I was a 36-24-36 and moaned about being fat then? I'd strip off a layer of skin to get those measurements back - but I'm doing MF instead! Far less pain!

Secondly, I want to go into Tampa and check out the night life! It will be so nice to establish some sort of social life again instead of hiding away in my apartment.

Thirdly, after I reach goal, I want to take a Swing class and go back into ballet. I adore dancing and I figured what a wonderful way to keep the fat at bay, have a great time and develop a lean, dancer's body at the same time!

I also can't wait to throw away all of my FAT CLOTHES! I'd donate them to charity but they'll be worn to shreds by the time I reach goal. I'm not allowing myself to buy anything new until I get to goal. More money for the fun stuff!

So yeah, I guess my ultimate goal is to BE a cupcake rather than eat them. Fat be gone!

Pffffffffft Nancy.. You can tell it's been a LONGGGGGGGGG time since Ms. TINY LEOPARD BOOTY has seen FAT GIRL animal print clothing. I LOVE animal prints, but, um... have you ever seen a leopard print elephant? It ain't a good thang.

OH YES! Vintage clothing, I am with ya there! I also reallyreallyreally want a D&G leopard print corset dress.

When I get down to my goal weight.

1.) I would like to get another motorcycle.
When I was pregnant with my daughter I sold my bike. ( she is almost 5 now ) My husband and a bunch of family and friends are going for a ride tomorrow. I won't get on the back of my husbands. My butt still hangs over the seat. Next summer my butt will be so small you will be able to see some of the seat. Then I'll be on it all the time. :thumbig:

2.) I'm also looking forward to buying all new clothes. No more plus sizes.

3.) Lazer hair removal. When I wear my new bathing suit no more razor burn or stubble.

4.) Have as much fun as 1 person can stand.

Just thing about it.
By this time next year or before. We will all be doing and having everything we want.
Plus we will be health. :cheermed:

Lelaine
We can do it.

Oh, another thing, every year our ski team from work goes to Sun Valley, and I have always been the fattest one there, those people are in shape.
Just once before I die I would like to walk around that beautiful place in ski pants and not look like a sausage in it's casing.
