Looks like we're leaning on Week Nites for now.
Thanks for the suggestions. So to get this rolling.
What I'd like to do, to keep the general public out of our conference room, is to sign everyone up privately by screename here on the forum. That way we'll also be able to identify each other in the chat, by our forum screename.
What I ask of you now, is to post a "Sign me up" post here in this thread, and i'll send you an invitation to the room with your Forum screename as your username for the chatroom and a random generated password. Unfortunately, this password is not user editable, so you better store or write it down for future use.
This will come to your email address that you used here on the MMT forum, unless you want to stipulate another email address by emailing it to me. Only registered MMT forum members will be allowed a membership to the conference room.
To make the chatroom wide open, would be inviting trouble. We want only our MMT family to enjoy a safe place to visit. Once registered, the conference room will be open to you any time of the day. You can pop in and see if anyone else happens to be on.
The only problem will be, it will ONLY be moderated during one of our MMT scheduled meetings. It'll be the responsibility of our MMT family to notify me by email, if there's any problems occurring during your unmoderated visits. Hopefully by keeping this by exclusive invitation only, we wont have too many problems.
I've taken into account peoples schedules in this thread and will try to make our meetings available to everyone. We may also have rotating day/nite weekday/weekend meeting if that's what it takes to ensure everyone can participate.
For starters, we'll try to get a single week nite scheduled and see if that works for everyone.
I'll be talking to Nancy and see what nites can work for her. We have to juggle this with the regular TSFL telephone conference calls which are 3 nites weekly and she participates on.
I'll be posting here when I'm in the room moderating, so you can see the full features of the room and I can answer any questions you may have about navigating and using the conference room. Once we get everyone comfortable and all the bugs out, we can get started with our regular meetings.
What I was thinking was, we can have a weekly thread going on what the topic for the week's meeting will be. This will be open for everyone to vote on and the majority vote will be the topic for the week.
Also, if the future we'll be having other private conferences. I hope that you will respect this, and if you're asked to leave when one of our other scheduled meetings is in progress, you will do so.
Post here what you think about this so far, and any ideas you may have.
So for now, post "Sign me Up" here on this thread and i'll get a registration and invitation sent to you.
