I used the vanilla shake this morning to make mini cinnamon muffins. They were very tasty and easier than having the shake.
Can I do this for all 5 supplements?

These sound really good. Do you put them in a muffin tin? If so, do you have to spray the muffin tin before cooking ? Sounds like dumb questions but I don't bake that often.

I don't know if I'd do it for all 5 supplements a day. From what I can see looking at nutrition facts online you would be having 5tsp of baking powder which is 10 extra calories (ok not much), 6.5g of carbs (could throw off the protein carb balance??), and 2438mg of sodium (EEK).

Too much sodium in my opinion. I'd be worried about retaining water.

That's not even taking into account the other ingredients including the pinches of salt.

Could someone who has splenda packets please tell me how much is in each packet?? I only have Splenda for baking. It is in a box. I can't find on the box the equivalent to packets. I just find the equivelant to regular sugar. Or, could I just leave it out?? I think the vanilla is sweet enough.

Hi Laurie! I just poured out a packet into a measuring spoon, and it doesn't quite fill my 1/2 tsp. I looked at my Slpenda for baking bag and compared it to the packet Splenda and the textures look different. The pkt. sweetener looks much more FINE in granules than the bagged kind. The bag states that one serving is 2 tsp. and the box of packets states that 1 serving equals one packet. So I think that the packets are more concentrated than the bag. The packets taste MUCH sweeter to me than the bagged Splenda. Hope this helps.

Here's the Nutrition info from my box of Splenda packets:

Serving size: 1 packet
Calories: 0 g
Fat: 0 g
Sodium: 0 g
Carb.: less than 1 g
Protein: 0 g

I used low sodium baking powder. It has 5mg of sodium per 1/8 tsp.
O calories and less than 1 gram of carb. I could omit the salt. Now I just need to adjust the splenda packets. And I put an 1/8 of a teaspoon. Not a full teaspoon.

So does it work just as well with the smaller amount of low sodium baking powder? If so, that's considerably better :) I will have to try this at some point. I think I only have normal baking powder in the house so I'll have to look into this low sodium stuff.
