Lean/Green Weight

Postby Katie » August 9th, 2004, 10:13 am

Should I be weighing the lean meat before or after cooking?

I just started day 4 and am already down 6 lbs, but I thought I better ask!

Thanks guys!

Hi, Katie ~

Woo Hoo Six pounds already history, eh? Good for you! Weigh to go!

You weigh the meat AFTER you cook it and just before you eat it! Be sure to remove all visible fat and skin BEFORE cooking the meat.

The salad serving is on the small side: 2 cups of salad greens plus up to 1/4 cup of chopped veggies added to the salad or you may have up to 1 1/2 cups of non-starchy cooked veggies.

Thus, we call it the Lean 'n Green meal!

Keep up the great work!

Another Lean/Green question:

Can non-meat things count as the 'lean' part of the meal? I'm thinking of tofu, eggs, or veggie burgers. (not that I don't eat meat--I do--but I like other things too to get my protein)

Spa Girl...

Eggs will still be around when you reach your goal and then you may gladly have an egg or two on your salad in place of lean meat.

Cluck cluck and shake that flab right off those thighs!
