Land O Lakes Sugar Free whip Cream - is it legal?

Postby mommaof3boys » May 20th, 2006, 12:46 pm

I have found Land o Lakes Sugar Free Whipped Cream in spray can like Redi Whip but made with Splenda not sugar. 2 T. has 20 calories and 0 carbs.

Is this legal? How much can I have? I'd like to put it on my hot chocolate and chocolate pudding, but can I do both the same day?

I think I read I can have Cool Whip. How much can I have and what kind?

Know I can't have both the same day but was just wondering what the limits were.

No sugar, but pure fat. I'd steer clear of it.

Pure fat but mostly air I think - I checked against Cool Whip and it has same amount of fat, but less saturated fat than Cool Whip. And of course is cream instead of hydrogenated oils.

I think it might compare favorably to Cool Whip (which I try to stay away from because of the hydrogenated oils), which brings the next question -

Is Cool Whip legal and if so how much can we have?

I would assume 1 serving a day in place of a snack but I may be wrong.

The Medifast Nutritionists don't recommend any kind of whipped topping from what I can tell. If you're going to have some I'd recommend a sugarfree light whipping cream. I saw one online from Hood that was less calories and carbs.

Thanks! I'll keep a lookout - this is heavy cream, not light, which concerned me a bit.

I thought I read somewhere about people using Cool Whip but I guess it is not approved, huh?

I am desparate to get the rest of this weight off so am trying to stick to this plan like glue . . .
