Hi Kara, I don't see why you cannot have lamb. I would just make sure that it is very lean. As a matter of fact, I bought some lean lamb chops the other day, and plan to have them on our program. :)

Kara!!!? I think you better hold the mint sauce unless all the ingredients in it are approved!!! What's in it?

not really sure if these all "allowed" or what but i do love them and i have them once every few weeks and it hasn't slowed down my weight loss. i just wouldn't eat them the day before your weigh in! ;)

i'm going to try making my own w/ fresh mint from the garden. if it doesn't work, then i'll go sans mint sauce.

though... maybe i should look into what the store bought mint sauce has ingredients wise. hrmm...

My suggestion: copy the page out of the Quick Start Guide and post it on the fridge. (I had the link to the new Quick Start Guide, but I can't put my mouse on it at the moment.)

Lamb -- yes, 5 oz., unless this has changed in the new Quick Start Guide (I LOVE lamb!!)

Mint jelly -- hold off 'til maintenance

imho, mint jelly is gross. i tried it once and won't go back. but the mint sauce is another thing. completely different textures and the likes. ;)

i'll be sure to focus on 5 oz. of the lamb tomorrow. it's really hard trying to eat right and my family looking at me weird when i say i can't eat this or that. bah... what do they know. :D

Instead of saying you "can't" eat something, just say you don't "want" to eat it. And say it with a huge grin! :D

ah good call!

well, tonight (yesterday now) we were to have the lamb chops, but i didn't WANT any. so i passed on it.

i decided they weren't up to par and will have them AFTER i'm done MF.

does anyone know of a good lean cut of lamb? i'm pretty much thinking of sticking to chicken, turkey, fish and very lean ground beef for now.

Lamb sirloin steaks are pretty lean, I think, and they're wonderful. But they're very hard to find.
