I am new to this site, but not new to Medifast. I started back in April of 2006, and had pretty good success. After about 3 months (4th of July weekend to be exact) I fell really hard of the MF wagon! I made several lame attempts to climb back on, and it didn't really "take".
I figured I could go the low-carb route in the interim, and it actually prevented me from gaining every pound back. I only ended up gaining about 8 pounds - which for me is pretty darn good!
So fast forward to Nov. 13th, and here I am - back on the plan and doing very well. I have yet to break the 30# mark, but I hope that will happen this coming week. I have been fully compliant this time and working the plan exactly as I should.
I have ALWAYS struggled with my weight - been on every pill and plan you can think of, and have always gained back what I've lost. It wasn't until I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism that I got as big as I was when I started MF in April. So I'm on meds for that, as well as for high blood pressure, and fibromyalgia. The last few years have been tough - with one medical issue after another (but thankfully nothing serious!). And on top of all this - I would like to get pregnant in the next few years! (I'm 35 now...tick tock) But most importantly, I want to lose this weight and feel HEALTHY again!
Exercising has never been something I've enjoyed...ever! But I have an adorable Shih Tzu - he's 6 months old - and I've been taking him for walks as much as possible. I need to get more active - I just have to!
So I'm joining everyone here for more much needed support! I would love to be in Onederland by Christmas - that's my next Mini Goal, but for now, I would just like to get to the 30# Club!!
