It's great to be back and feel all the support that I was missing during my wayward months. My body has already started the change as I've been back on plan for over a week. I've been making sure that I drink all my water every day and I have my desk at work loaded with oatmeal, shakes and bars. I also keep a box of bars in my work vehicle. One of the huge challenges I, like many, face is the constant barrage of food in the workplace. I work for a large rental company and I'm at job sites, entertainment events, and commercial locations all the time. There's always food being ordered in or trays of pastries around. I started noticing the gradual tightening of the pants and shrugged it off and vowed to get back on track. Well, enough is enough, back to work. I'm reaching goal THIS year.

Good morning everyone !!!

I won't bore everyone with all the details but suffice to say, the last year has been quite the challange in my personal life. I've job-hopped a bit and finally ended up in a very nice position at an insurance company data center. I work for the contractor that manages the engineering plant for the insurance company. The funny thing is that I used to work here about a decade ago for the insurance company itself prior to them outsourcing the trades who ran the plant. It was like old home week coming back as I still know most of the crew and many people at the client.

My hours are a little strange... I work nights, 1900-0700, 4 days on, 4 days off. The schedule seems a little screwy, and it is, but it does provide for my wife and I to actually see quite a bit of each other. I'm home for breakfast and dinner every day when I'm working and while it took a little bit for her to get used to me being gone during the four nights, she has gotten used to not having to listen to my snoring. I sleep in the guest room upstairs during my 4 days on shift and it works out pretty well.

One benifit is that the cafeteria at work is closed by the time I get there !!! We have a little kitchen set up in the plant with microwave, coffeepot, fridge, ect. so that's not a problem. I also have almost 800,000 square feet of office building to use as an indoor treadmill all night. Its one of my responsabilities to tour the building at least twice a shift so I strap on an iPod and walk all the floors twice in 12 hours.

I did gain back quite a bit of what I lost the first time on MF but I still well below my all-time high.

I restarted at 281 last week and as of this morning I'm down to 274. The goal is 200 by who knows when. The sooner the better.
