Hey kmr!

I'm a MMT forum addict !!! Yes you are one too! I think it's a good thing, because we could be in the kitchen dishing up a big bowl of ice cream or somethin'. It keeps me on the straight and narrow path!! My day isn't complete without checking in on you guys, and seeing that I'm not alone in all of this. :goteam:

Oh. by the way, I get those days too... especially in the first month I got tired alot...it gets better as time goes by.

Keep shakin' girl!!

Thanks Kanani for that reassurance! I needed it being that I only lost 2 lbs. this week. I'm doing everything exactly the way it's supposed to be done and drink my 102 oz. of water everyday and then some. If I didn't have a fast metabolism I wouldn't be discouraged, but I do have a fast metabolism. Plus I just started 3 weeks ago and am not even near a normal weight for my height. I know it slows down when you get more towards your goal, but I thought it would be quicker for me in the beginning. Yesterday, I don't know what happened. I know I start my day at 5:00am, but I start it everyday at 5:00am and am usually not that tired. I've never tried a sleeping pill before, but I'm sure it probably feels like I did last night. This morning I woke up, took a shower, and got the kids ready and off to school and feel much better today. Maybe my PMS is starting, but my body might be having a different PMS experience this month since I don't have all the sugar and carbs in me. I'm just guessing.

:puter: I just realized something and I felt I had better jot it down real quick in my journal to look back on some day.

So far I have done 3 things this year just for MYSELF ONLY:

1) Joined M.F. and this forum. Stuck to it and didn't quit!

2) I treated myself to a pair of new jeans.

3) Today, after a whole year, treated myself to a haircut!

Well, you can't just tell us that and not show us a photo! C'mon, that's not fair!

Kmr, did you take measurements when you first began MF? I have found that since my weight loss has slowed, it is helpful to check my measurements. The scale doesn't necessarily reflect all of the changes our bodies are going through, and checking your measurements might help when the scale isn't showing any movement. The scale is just one of many tools; try not to focus on it so much. What about those new jeans? What about your stable blood sugar levels? What about the way you feel? What about...all kinds of things! You're doing such a great job--relax; the scale will catch up.

Hey kmr!

In September, I went 3 weeks with no loss on the scale. That was really discouraging until I realized that all of my pants were so big they were ready to fall off, and then my belly pooch was disappearing.... better than lipo-suction baby! I'm sure you are starting to notice changes happening to you. Hang in there girl!! You are doing a fantastic job!

Sojourner...you are too funny! :roflmao: As soon as I can get my husband to show me how to do it myself I'll post another pic. He's so busy with work that by that time I might need another haircut though! I'm not good with computers.

Kanani...Thanks girlfriend! It helps to know someone else has experienced the same thing, but has gone through it already and can now tell me that there is still going to be a positive outcome! Much appreciated! :hugblue:

:puter: Doing good today. I'm noticing my PMS isn't nearly as bad as it usually was before starting M.F. I've decided to weigh in monthy instead of weekly. After speaking with some friends and my cousin I decided that with all the water weight fluctuations and hormone stuff most of us women go through every month, I'd rather get an overall monthly weight loss. Plus I wouldn't get discouraged on weeks that I only lose like 2 lbs. because then I start telling myself things like..... "2 lbs.!... you can lose that much on W.W.and not deprive yourself". So to avoid that negative inner dialog I will weigh in monthly. I have spoken to some other people on the forum that only do monthly weigh ins and it seems to work for them. As long as I'm sticking to plan as written I shouldn't worry about weighing in all the time. The scale will be what it will be despite when or how often I weigh in. The main thing is for me to stay on plan. So if you guys don't see me posting weigh ins every week, I just wanted to let you know I still am on plan and will be. But I'll only be updating my ticker once a month. I 'm just thinking out loud now, but I have to say I love Sojourner and Alex's witty, dry, sarcastic sense of humor. I've always loved that type of humor and it's rare that you find people with it these days. Thanks for making me laugh sometimes. It's good for the soul! :D

Tonight the boys are going to Grandma and Pop Pop's house for the night. So they're all excited. My husband and I are going with family and friends this evening to this big haunted hayride thing in upstate N.Y. It's supposed to be REALLY scary! (adults only of course). My husband ordered our Halloween costumes for several Halloween parties that we were invited too. He is too much! The costumes were delivered yesterday and they are really cool. I'm going as a giant outlet and he's going as a giant plug! ;) You have to see them to appreciate them! (hee hee). It's the first time in a long time that I'm actually dressing up for Halloween. Along with the weight loss I'm trying to enjoy myself again and do things I haven't done in a long time. Today I reached the 20 lbs. club and Onederland! Yeah!

Forgot to put this in my last journal post. New, but very funny NSV. I was busy cleaning the house this morning. As I was mopping the floors my pants literally fell right down to my ankles! I'm not kidding! My husband just looked at me (as I'm standing there with the mop and bucket attempting to pull up my pants!) and said "Wow hun....you're really doing good on your diet! Keep up the good work!" I guess I can't get a way with wearing those pants any longer! They go in the Good Will pile!

No, no...thank YOU! I love that I'm able to bring a little sunshine into your world! And I'm not even being sarcastic when I say that! Well, kind of--it's pretty frickin' cheesy...a little sunshine? Puh-leeez!!

that really is a great costume.
i guess, with my people, one could go as a giant outlet and the other could have singed clothes and don king hair.
