Kicking my Diet Coke Habit

Postby armeewyf » May 17th, 2005, 3:13 pm

Yesterday whe I had the unexplainable 2 lb gain, I decided to try to stop the diet coke habit. I have cut down in the 6 wks on MF but am still drinking more than I should.

I have not had any since 10am (I usually drink it all day). I am sooooo tired...I mean really tired. Has this happened to anyone else? How long will this process take?

Lee Ann,

Was it caffeine-free Diet Coke, or normal? If it had the caffeine you're going to go through some of the same type of withdrawal symptoms that you might have at the beginning of MF: fatigue, and headaches.

The last time I gave up caffeine the symptoms lasted for about 3-5 days when I went cold turkey.

Just give your body what it needs right now.. it'll go away soon. :)

Regular dc...I switched to caffeine free after I began MF and kinda alternated. Still I was drinking too much caffeinated. I have had very little of either today or yesterday, but especially today. I have boosted my water intake to 100 oz from abt 70-80.

I cannot wait to go to bed! I am so tired!
Thanks for the input on how long this will take--I have drank dc like an addict for years...my system is probably freaking out!

It took me 3 days to get over my caffeine habit. Good luck - but it is so good for your body!
