Glad to hear you got everything moved, even if it's not all unpacked. Moving is such an unpleasant experience for me (I don't know if everybody hates it, but I do!). And a big congrats on those 11 pounds you lost! Keep it up :)

Jeez! Maybe I need to move....?!
Congrat on the great loss Kelly, and good luck with all of the unpacking.
That's always the worst part, isn't it? I haven't moved in 19 years,
but I'm always amazed at the amount of stuff we can accumulate!
Just like pounds, I suppose ~ it creeps up on ya.
Have fun, chickie!

Last time we moved, I checked myself into the hospital for detox so I wouldn't have to help. It wouldn't have been so terrible if I had really planned on stopping drinking but it was just June and too hot to move!

I hear that the bay area is cooler (although the home prices up here suck). ;)

Ok, we finally have internet, about 80% of the boxes are unpacked and things in their places. Just waiting on a new DVD rack and a 2nd bookcase so I can sort our books and DVDs.. and the new desks are being delivered on Weds so I should have the office finished by next weekend.

I start that 2nd job on Tuesday.
I have been off plan (again) since start of Sept.. with the moving, MF simply did not give me enough energy. I have been having the equivelent of 5+2 for the past 2 weeks. I have still lost a total of 15 lbs (including that 11lb drop + the subsequent gain back since it was all water weight.).. so I'm not totally beating myself up about not being on plan.

I will start back again with determination on Tuesday. I considered waiting until the Monday after Yom Kippur, which is the 22nd, but I think that the best thing would be for me to start up with MF with the new job on Tues, then if I absolutely cannot avoid nonplan foods at the end of fast feast on Kippur, then it will be just one day, instead of 6 days.

We're having friends over next Sunday, and they've requested my "famous" stuffed manicotti and italian chicken.. and a lemon cheesecake for dessert! I am so excited to welcome friends in our new home, but lemon cheesecake?! ergh!

I will just remember how much I miss MF when I am not on it. I miss how I feel on it. I miss not having heartburn every single night. I miss actually craving WATER, and pushing aside diet pepsi and other artificial drinks.

I am determined. I will succeed.

Glad the move is done, and most of the unpacking is done. Glad you are also back on plan...

Hope you can avoid the cheesecake. Hang in there, you can survive the night.

Have a great week, and hope the new job starts okay.

Kelly, what a busy couple of months you've had and it sounds like busy is going to be the way you stay for the immediate future. I'm so glad you are sticking to your desire to do MF! I hope life calms down for you soon. :)

Wow girlie you are right on. I have been off for 2 weeks and I just feel awful. My legs are swellling from all of the sodium. And I feel like I can not get enough water.

Kelly ~

What a busy month and life you have!

How nice that you have a new home, great friends, a new job and improving health.

You have done well to lose weight and I admire you for getting right back on program and not delaying a few more days. Many people regret that they did not do just that because the days can quickly become weeks and you know the outcome...

Perhaps you could have a serving of lemon pudding when the others are having cheesecake - add a bit of fresh lemon juice or lemon extract to a Medifast Vanilla Pudding packet. Crush part of a lemon bar and sprinkle a bit over the top and add a lemon rind curl...Can you make a 6 ounce serving of your famous chicken with some 'legal' sauce and enjoy the herbs and rich tomato flavor?

Happy for your happiness!

I decided to start back on MF on Tuesday, and followed through on it, but Tuesday night, whoa! I was working (I work a 2nd job from home, doing customer service from 2pm-10pm) and about 8:30 I started feeling kinda gross.. my back was aching, my legs were aching.. I thought I was just sitting improperly in the chair.. but then Jer started cooking dinner, just ground meat and an omellette, and I could have killed him! The smell was making me incredibly sick.

By 10pm, my finish time, all I could do was brush my teeth and fall into bed.. where I began shivering uncontrollably.. I was up every 30 mins to go to the bathroom all night.. then yesterday, it was more of the same, every 30 mins I was back in the bathroom, a temperature of 102 that wasn't going down with Tylenol.. I was freaked out.

Finally the fever broke this afternoon, thank goodness, I was really starting to get scared, as I never really get sick, even the bad flu doesn't last more than 2 days on me, and I get a cough maybe once a year. Jeremy has been really sweet, making my MF meals today, and yesterday bringing me tea and NeoCitron and making sure I had water.. and telling our boys to take care of me when he was gone (2 cats can't do much, but all cats have that 6th sense, they knew I was sick and snuggled me all day).

Anyways, I'm at about 75% now, really weak and missing some nutrients I think, I've been cramping in my legs today alot, a sign I'm missing potassium.. so I'm sure I'm missing some other stuff as well. Took a Centrum, and I'll take one as long as these flu symptoms keep up.

I was looking at the progress some people have made since I have started MF.. Queenie.. llrickman.. Biki.. Tawanda.. Holberry.. so many others.. whoa. The change just since April has been staggering. I would be lying if I said I wasn't jealous!

I hope you feel better soon, Kelly. I'm happy to hear that you restarted on Tuesday (I restarted Tuesday, too). Fortunately, even if you've been off plan a little while, getting back on means you're gonna lose the weight you might have gained plus the rest of it if we just stick it out. You're doing great to stick to the plan while being sick. Hopefully when you're feeling better, it will be that much easier.

Take care.

Hi, Kelly ~

Wow! What a GREAT family ya have there!
Jeremy is a winner and so are the cats!
Sorry that you had the punies but glad you are on the mend.

Regarding your cramping legs - drink more water and have a cup or two of bouillon. Any flavor is fine. The number one cause of leg cramps is not enough water. Also, Medifast is dehydrating and with all the dashing down the hall you've done in the last few days, the fever, etc. you might be shriveled up a little.

Get thee well, quick, quick, quick!
