Weigh-in day, and I am down 13.8 lbs.. happy about this, but I'm sure it was a one time thing.. I expect that it will begin to average out to 5ish pounds a week. Nonetheless, I am very happy about it, it gives me courage to get through another week.
I'm puzzled by my measurements though, I really suspect that I didn't measure properly when I did it the first time, or maybe I was sitting.. I don't remember. Anyways, I took them today and showed astounding difference.. from now on I will be sure to measure in the same places, I think they're pretty easy to remember.
Bust 60.5, down from 64.75
Waist 57, down from 62.5
Hips 63.25 down from 69
I really think I must have been measuring differently the first time, these number changes in a week can't be possible, can they??
On to non-diet related things..
Going to the botanical gardens this afternoon with my sis in law and nephew and our 4 year old cousin to see this exhibit "Butterflies go free".. I went last year with Jer, it is so beautiful! Jer liked it as a one time thing, but I am excited to go again.
Also, I am trying to toilet train our cats. They are approximately 2 years old (the SPCA was guessing on thier ages when we adopted them), so I am hoping they are young and bright enough to figure it out.
I bought this kitty training kit for like $20.. it's a clear plastic form that fits over the porcelein and under the seat, you fill it with litter, and every few days start putting less and less litter in it until there's none at all, and then you take the form away.
So I cleaned up thier proper litter box yesterday and put it in the garage.. and set up this thing on the toilet.. picking up the cats and setting them on the toilet and saying in a commanding but not stressful voice..
"THIS is where you POO.."
The instructions say to do this several times daily, so after the 3rd time or so, I had made up a little song, to the tune of Row your boat:
This is the toilet,
it is where you poo..
you can caca and go pee,
whenever you need toooooooooo
(ok so I'm no beethoven or brahms, but it entertained us all for the afternoon)
The kit came with "enticing herbs" which really don't seem to be living up to thier enticing potential.
"My" cat, Sir Baudelaire Skellington III (Bodey for short) caught on quickly, but "Jeremy's" cat, Casper van Peebles (Cas for short) is very VERY wary of the whole contraption.
Cas walks around the house making this terrible meowing sound, clearly VERY distraught that his litter box is no where to be found.. I have to chase him down and carry him to the potty, pushing his little paws into the litter so he understands. Regardless, he is just very grumpy about this entire turn of events.
Bodey on the other hand (who we generally, and lovingly, refer to as the stupid one) is perfectly happy to use this thing.
(wow, I just had this incredible feeling of patheticness.. how sad am I that toilet training my cats is the highlight of my weekend?)
