Really, dehydration can cause cramping? That's good to know, thanks. I'll try to get in extra water today and have bouillon a few times in between meals, since I'm still sweating out this fever and making the 5 yard dash to the bathroom a few times an hour.

Thanks y'all. :)

Yes, dehydration can contribute to leg cramps as well as being low on sodium and potassium.

I agree, your picture is neat - you look alluring....

Thanks you guys :)
I really needed to hear (see?) nice things today, thank you so much for that.

I have had the flu this week, right? I started MF again on Tuesday(sort of, all I had that day was 1 shake and a couple mugs of hot tea).
Anyways, Thursday and Friday I have been under 1000 calories (and according to Support in Motion, I burned some 2500 calories each day).. BUT I HAVE GAINED 3 POUNDS SINCE WEDNESDAY.

HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?!?!?!?!

The more rational side of me is saying that since I had flu, my body is so happy that I am able to keep anything down, that is holding super tight to anything I put in.

Of course the irrational side of me is saying screw it.. lets go to the grocery and buy bags of chips and pasta and anything that looks good because I am clearly never going to lose anywhere near the significant amount of weight I need to in order to look like a human being again.

You are already a normal human being! You're beautiful even if you managed to find 3 pounds this week. They will be gone soon and so will many more. Despite any ups and downs, the plan works. Hang in there!

NO negative self-talk! It is not tolerated here!!! Even if you hadn't been terribly sick there are many reasons for the scale to fluctuate. I always borrow from Pascal, but the scale has its reasons which know no reason. I gained 3 pounds this morning because I went off plan. But in 319 days MF'ing there have been MANY days I had fluctuations even though I had been perfectly compliant. Give yourself a break. Those pounds will disappear soon. You deserve this because you are already a perfect human being. You can do this!

Hi Kelly!!! I had to refresh so I could see the new avatar, too! I love when people share photos!!

I hope you are feeling better and the extra pounds cannot be 'gained for real' pounds......you didn't eat 11,000 calories (did I do my math correctly? 3,500 x 3= 10,500---nope, didn't do it right, LOL)...so it is just water retention. Kick the scale (put a pillow between your foot and the scale before kicking it so you won't add a toe injury to the day) and then just go about doing the program. The 3# will come off!

Thanks you guys, for encouraging words. This morning it went up to 4 pounds... I would have kicked the scale (probably without a pillow too, lol), but I started my TOM last night. Mystery solved!

So, I figure, next weeks weigh in will be a good one as long as I stay on plan. I have made a deal with myself not to step on the scale until next Saturday, and as a reward I will go shopping at my favorite kitchen supply store next weekend.

I must try veryhard to be on plan this week. Last week was so difficult with the sickness, then yesterday was Yom Kippur so we fasted all day and I only got in my L&G and 2 MF's. But there are no excuses for this week.
