Katie!! I'm thankful that you are here and I know you can do this. If you falter then just shake it off and get back onto program. Perfection isn't possible for most of us-----but perseverance works.

I'm so glad you've come back.

I have been on porgram, and then off... I had to go to a mushroom dinner. I ate very little and restarted right afterwards.

One thing I can not stand is when I get thrown into these dinners. Do not get me wrong. I love my chefs. And there food is superb. But it does not help me at all. With the way that the economy is all of my restaurants are doing the wine dinners, mushroom dinners, meat dinners. For a really great price, just to get the customers in the door.

I have a wine event on Monday, but that should be pretty easy since I do not drink wine.

It is a very busy week this week for me.

Hey, Katie -

Sorry things are crazy in dinner land...

Is a mushroom dinner literally just meals made solely from various mushrooms, portabello, truffles, etc? Is it supposed to appeal to the vegetarian group, or just be more cost effective than serving meat/fish? I hadn't heard of an entire dinner focused on that...

Just curious.

Ciao!

Or maybe just dishes highlighting mushrooms, like an Iron Chef episode with mushrooms as the secret ingredient? I'd go to one of those!

You got it robin..

Each Course had a different mushroom on it. We receive our mushrooms from all over the world. Japan, Serbia, Italy, North Ameica, South Africa, and so on.

Next month we are doing a game dinner which we have all different types of exoctic meats.

But I am back on program. And the headaches are coming

Hi,
I feel ya sista!

My job sometimes requires me to make the "best choice available" and do a full MF day the next day with tons of water and stuff.

Just do the best you can! You're still moving in the right direction! Don't let it get you down!

Oh my gosh, if I was a chef and had to go to those dinners, I'd be in trouble!! The Iron Chef mushroom dinner sounds yummy.

You did the right thing... eat as healthy as possible or as little as possible, drink tons of water as Dede says, and then get back on program. This is going to be a life changing event for us. As a restarter who gained most of her weight back, it's making the right choice forever!!

Katie - I know what you mean about being on program and then being off program. Let's commit to stay on program. I need to do this for my health.

Well My troubles are over.... I did the last event last nite. So no problems moving forward. I do have a game dinner in December but that is not going to be a problem.. When I am in the medi zone I can refuse anything. But last week was a restart for me so it was really hard.

Have a great day everyone.
