So pretty busy weekend Matthew had a basketball game on Saturday afternoon. Then we took the kids to friendly's because it was there last game of the season (thank god) basketball is a long season. Then John, Matthew and Matthews BFF, Christopher went to a philadelphia 76ers game. We live about an hour and a 1/2 away from philly. So I had the whole house to myself. OMG how awesome is that. I rented the movie No Reservation. What a good movie, I cried a lot.

But anyways I am finally back into the 50# club which I am happy about but I can not wait until I am in the 60# club, I have never been in that club. I am not feeling that well right now.

I have been having some really bad cravings for spaghetti, and meatballs with garlic bread. And dont forget the ceaser salad. I know I am so close to onederland. I refuse to cheat but I feel that I need to write my feelings down, so I can one day go back to my journal and say look I did not cheat.

So next Saturday we are going to my Dad's new house in Delaware, he moved up from Myrtle Beach. But the problem is They are having a spiral ham, and that is what killed me last year this time. I cheated on Easter and it took me close to 3 months to get back on program. Gosh why do I keep thinking negative thoughts about food. That I just want to stuff my face. I need to do this. I have to do this. I want to do this.

Well that is my little whine fest for now.

Have a greet week everyone.

Stop all those negative thoughts! :)

You will be in Onederland before you know it. Next stop...60# club...YeeHaw!

I know that when I am able to resist food at a gethering (like spiral ham) it really empowers me and makes my control so much stronger afterward. Go with a plan. Don't be afraid to announce that you are not eating it because you have a plan for yourself. Make sure ahead of time that there is food available you can have. If they don't plan to serve it then take it along. Stay focused on the real reason you are there, which is family, not food. You can do it! And have positive thoughts about how strong you are and keep the end in mind!

But most important...have fun and enjoy your family!

Congrats, Katie, on the 50 lb club! Even though you've been there before, it must feel great to be back. I know you will be able to it through next Sunday better than last year because you know what if feels like to give in to the food and try to get back on plan. Instead of those negative feelings, this time you will have positive feelings of sticking to your plan and being one day closer to your goal weight! Hope you have a great week :)

Thanks queenie and Mickey.

I almost blew it today. My son had a couple of friends over and they were eating those peanut butter filled pretzel nuggets. So when the kids were playing outside, I walked in to the kitchen and started opening them and had my hands in the container. THen my husband said WHAT ARE YOU DOING. Walk away from the Pretzels. :D He said come here he walked me outside he said, you told me to show you why you are trying to lose weight

and there he was.

I have to do this. I need to be around for Matthew. I am not my mother, I do not want to have the same bad habbits that she had.

Thanks everyone for the support

OK, now back to the topic of your post...what better reason than that?!? and such a gift to have such a supportive husband. NO PRETZELS for YOU, my friend.

Katie, sounds like you have a pretty wonderful hubby. Seeing Matthew's photo (cute guy!) and also the story of what your hubby said.....made me think of that line in the movie Hook where Tinkerbell (Julia Roberts) is telling Peter Pan (Robin Williams) that he can fly if he thinks of his happy thought. His kids were his happy thought that made his able to fly. Matthew is your happy thought (and your hubby, too, it sounds like) and will get you to fly to your goal! :) Thanks for sharing the story and good for you for getting away from the pretzels!

Hey lady! You know I've been on vacation w/Bren here. I had to come over and catch up. I just wanted to let you know how much your post touched me. I think that sometimes we get so caught up in things that we forget why we're doing what we're doing. Thank you so much for the reminder.
