I am so excited for you getting back on plan! I, too, have chosed today to get back on track with the 5 & 1. I had to go off for a couple of weeks due to my surgery. My doc is not thrilled about me going back on just yet, but I promised to take some extra calcium and vit D and he compromised. My goal is to be able to trail ride the horses with my daughter this summer and have her teach me how to snowboard next season. With the weight loss and a practically new ankle I should be able to. My activity level this winter sucks with my ankle situation, but I am going to try to start to focus on working my upper body.

Blessings for a super 2008!!!

So glad you are back. :D Looks like you have a great window of opportunity now till May. I can't imagine the challenges you must face being in a food company.

Thanks Mickey, You know what I love about this program. YOu really do not need to think about what you are going to eat.

I did find out what new foods we are launching.
Elk
Truffle oil
Wild Boar pancetta.
And a domestic Lamb from the Amish Country.

So elk and lamb are pretty lean. I can handle that. Truffle oil I will just dab with my finger. The wild boar pancetta will be a killer.

But I am not going to let it ruin my goal to get this thing done this year.

katie, don't be offended but it's the jersey comin out in me (again), you understand...There is not a DANG THING (i woulda typed damn in kym's journal but i dont wanna abuse anyone else!) on that list that could possibly cause a problem for me & MF. Then again, i don't eat red meat or pork so...anyhoo, are u able to just taste (like 1 or 2 small bites) or do you actually have to EAT? as in the whole portion... It still sounds like such a wonderful career.

You know what is really hard about the whole thing. When you go into a restaurant, you always brings samples in. You have to show your chef how to use it. They usually cook it in front of you. Do I have to eat it. Absolutly not. But when you go into about 10 restaurants a day, and with the chefs trying to feed you it is hard to say no, especially when it is a new restaurant, the chef looks at you like well if you wont eat it why should I. Also we deal with a lot of small family farms, and I ride with the actual farmer. And I have to promote the product. This is my job. I love what I do. And if I have to try the food I will, At least I do not work for a chocolate company. :D

You want to hear something funny. When I was in the kitchen I actually was a 100 pounds less. Because I was always on the run.
