January 12th Day 12

UGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG I feel awful. Usually I go on the road today, But I just can not. I was up all night coughing. And my acid reflux on top of that. It was very uncomfortable. I am so tired I can not wait to get rid of this thing. This is almost like when I had bronchitis when I went to Jamaica. I think I am going too get the prescription filled. I think I have bronchitis. But will an antibiotic clear up bronchitis. HMMMM

Still medifasting. No cheats at all..... YAY. Really hard to get all my water in though.

Well chat soon

Sorry to read that you are still feeling so badly. This virus has been hanging on for such a long time, I sure hope you feel better soon.

Good for you for staying on program! That is one thing you can control and having 11 days behind you is wonderful. You will realize your weight loss goal this year, if you continue as you are.

Katie, sorry to hear that you aren't getting any better. Just in case your doctor didn't tell you, avoid the RTD or other shakes, the dairy makes the mucus thicker and harder to get rid of, unfortunately there aren't a lot of options for dairy-free Medifast, but if you get real desperate that's what I would do.

Most of the time bronchitis is viral so antibiotics won't help. Sometimes it is bacterial though. Maybe your doctor heard or saw something that made her think so....I would recommend Mucinex. I am "MIss Lung Infection" -my left lung had a staph colony for almost a year-and still have to see a pulmonary specialist every 4 months. The pulmonary specialist recommended Mucinex when I had pneumonia. Get well soon.

January 13th 2010 Day 13

Still feeling pretty lousy. I have not been sleeping that well. I think it is because I take that night time medicine and after 4 hours I am up, then I start tossing and turning. My acid reflux is really bad. I have no idea why. I am just really exhausted.

Medifast is doing good. Looks like I am still in Ketosis. Thanks OK for the heads up about the RTD and the shakes. I have some oatmeal that I am going to use up and some hot chocolate.

Well thank goodness I am working out of home today.

Acid reflux can cause bronchitis. You can inhale part of the acid into your lungs. I had to be put on a medication for acid reflux. Just GOOGLE acid reflux and bronchitis for a more scientific explanation. Feel better soon.

Thanks for the update biki. I realized it must be my acid reflux, My doctor just prescribed Nexium for me. I thought I could go with out it. Because I figured once I lost a lot of my weight I would not need it. But The acid reflux is pretty bad. I am actually feeling a little better. I took Mucinex this morning and some tylenol.

Well off to go pick up my prescription

January 14th 2010 Day 14

Doing really well. I was only up a little bit last night coughing. But my stomach really hurts this morning. I do not know if I am hungry or if it is from coughing so much, or taking to many medicines :?

I actually feel thinner. I put a couple of shirts on that fit okay. So I am pretty excited about that. And also put a pair of jeans on that are not extremely tight. They fit perfect.

Well off to another day. Thank goodness I work out of home today.

January 15th Day 15

Feeling so much better. I only had one coughing attack last night. Mucinex is awesome.

Doing well on Medifast, yesterday was very tempting. I felt the urge to eat. So I just putting gum in my mouth. LOL. I feel thinner, hopefully it will show on the scale. Only got 64oz of water in yesterday. Going to try for the gallon today and tomorrow. I am going to start walking next saturday on the treadmill. Maybe 30 mnutes a day I want to get rid of this cold completely..

I took a personal day today. Just want to relax and do nothing.

well talk to you later.
