I agree Katie - we can do this together. It always helps to have friends along the way.

I am watching Biggest Loser right now. They are doing the challenge of walking around the rings above the water. WOW!! I have only periodically watched the show. I tend to watch the weigh ins and the elimination. But I don't really have an opinion of anybody yet. I am just amazed that there aren't very many men left.

Wait! Don't say too much, cause I haven't watched this week's episode yet. I usually watch while I work out, but this morning I totally forgot it was on the DVR, so now I won't see it till tomorrow (um, and the next day if it's a two-hour episode). Sigh. My DVR is SO stacked up right now.

I won't say a word either under you have seen the episode. The only thing I will say is that it was interesting.

It would be awesome to hire Gillian. She is so good.

I have such a temper..... If she(gillian) talked to me the way she does some of the other girls. I think I would have to sit on her. My parents always told me not to take crap from anyone. Because of me being in the kitchen I have to be strong, Usually it is all men. And some of those men are from different decent. And they do not like women being there bosses. So I have always had a hard shell around me. If you know what I mean. :)

But BOB on the other hand.... WHAT A DREAM.. He is HOT

You should do Hell's Kitchen, Katie! Your toughness could come in quite handy with Gordon Ramsey!

:-)

OK, watched it this morning. Thanks for holding off!!

And Brady's wife needs to go. There was something VERY fishy about their weigh-in. And she seems to care only about the money. (And what will her kids think when they see her say she thought the chance to see them on video was stupid and she didn't even bother to TRY??)

Robin - I thought Brady's wife was a little shifty myself. But I really thought they should send Brady home. Told you it was interesting.

Oh I agree with Lauren...Katie you should do Hell's Kitchen. I love that show. How is everything else going Katie??

Yeah, I'd have to vote Heba off. She's a beotch... me no like!!!!!!! I hope she's the next to leave so she can get a bit mouthful of "how'd do you like it!!!" The lady that got voted off (can't remember her name) looks fantastic right now.

I love Hell's Kitchen, but I think I could take Gillian's barking over Chef Ramsey's. Chef Ramsey would break me in pieces... and I'm a strong woman. He's great but dang, he's mean at times!!!

I totally agree about HEBA.. Me no like either. And I can not stand BRADY's wife. IT would be great if there was a double elimination. LOL

Gordon Ramsey.. What a joke. He is lucky I am not in his kitchen especially when I work with Knives.

Here is a little story.. When I was at the CIA, I was in the fish kitchen, I was learning how to break down a salmon. I mutilated it. Well the Chef (ex-marine) Screamed and yelled and everyone in the school could here. I sat there until after his 10 minute rant saying I was no good and I was worthless. (I was only 19) I finally said are you done. Tapping my foot (I WAS A BEOTCH) He said excuse me. I said are you done, I am here to learn this is the first time I ever broke down a salmon. Do not ever disrespect me that way again. I pay your salary. I said to him if I wanted to get yelled at I would stay at home and get yelled at for free. I said I am not paying 34,000 for 16 months to get yelled at. He was so taken a back he left the butchering room. Everybody (my classmates) were in shock. The next day he had to apologize to me. It got around to the dean what happened.

So no I think Gordon and I would not work together that well.....

Ha. Yeah, I prefer Top Chef, personally. Tom Colicchio can be kind of a snooty jerk at times, but at least he's polite to the contestants. And they are all REAL chefs. So many of the folks on Hell's Kitchen seem completely unqualified.

And so cool that you went to the CIA. Reminds ME of a story, too. I was editing a piece about a new restaurant in town, and the writer (who was a general-assignment reporter, not our restaurant critic) said the chef used to work at the Central Intelligence Agency. Once I stopped laughing, I called the reporter and asked if maybe the chef had said she worked at the CIA. She confirmed, and I said, "Do you think maybe she meant the Culinary Institute of America and NOT the Central Intelligence Agency?" She said, "Ohhhh, that makes a lot more sense." LOL

You go Katie!! That's great that you did not allow that chef to walk all over you. That's why you probably would be great at Hell's Kitchen. Gordon may have found his match!!

You go Katie!!! That's just down right disrespectful.. ESPECIALLY if you were there to learn.

I'm a manager myself, and one thing that I have learned over the past (thanks to past managers) is you get no where with disrespect and yelling. Our job is to coach and empower our employees to be the best they can be. I spit on those manager who are all about power and "dickheadedness". Oops, I think I said that with my outside voice. I apologize :)
