Hey there!!! Sorry to hear the scale is being bitchy! I hate it when that happens. Sometimes it 'just happens' - but more often than not if I evaluate my food intake (including carbs and caffeine) I can find *something* that has ticked off my body!! At one time I was pretty much just having RTD's and that worked well - but then my body decided it wanted more (they're only 90 calories) and it started holding onto water, and so on and so on. Even though I *typically* eat the same thing every day I still keep a food journal so I can go back and look at it, if/when needed. My ankles (never before but since doing MF) is where I start to retain water. I suppose its other places too but it's noticeable in my ankles so much that they pucker and swell - or swell and pucker, lol. Anyway, keep your chin up and stay on plan and it will come off!! For the last few weeks I prety much stayed off of the scale because my ankles were swollen - I KNEW I likely wouldn't like the number so I stayed away and focused on being compliant. It was hard for a few days but then became pretty easy (which is a huge task given I'm a scale - uhm, what's the new word - addict!) Truly, the food journal helped a ton! I know I get my water in daily so I typiclaly retain water when I intake too much caffeine or too few calories. I hope you find the culprit and get the scale moving soon! Until then, keep your chin up, remain compliant to a T and you'll get to goal! This is our year! So many of us WILL HIT goal this year it's going to be AWESOME!!!

jeez, ritzee! Why can't you just suck your RTD and keep it moving???? I mean did we really need to know about your rhino ankles? Only kidding...good post, lots of people don't pay attention to their bodies and intake that closely. I finally realized i needed to (thanks to your suggestion to me during week 3 ~ a stall). Actually your suggestion had to do with evaluating my carb intake but it made me do a complete overhaul. I think that so many people think that MF can be done AS IS, which it can. Some can do it and not have any problems, others, like me, have to do a little tweaking when things slow down. And no, by tweaking, i didn't mean adding a cinnamon roll! :roflmao:

I learned, the HARD way, that some of us have to count and tweak and pay attention while losing. For many it just isn't as 'simple' as following the 5 & 1. I know the MF powers that be say otherwise, however, this is coming from my personal experience and that of others out there. I don't mind it, mind you, as it's working for me and is far better than other counting and plans I did previously. I just don't buy into the whole 'you never have to count or pay attention' theory because it's not always like that.

And YES, you had to learn of Rhino Ankles <add the b word here> because it fit in with the rest of the post :roflmao: Yes, you have done a little tweaking!!! Visit your journal for a pictoral tour of that :)

Katie.. I hope you are just MIA a bit because of a busy weekend, and not because of a grumpy scale.

Sending you big hugs...

Hey everyone,

I have been around just not been posting a lot. I have been off program for the past couple of days. In a earlier post I wrote that I had to go out to my restaurants. Well that happened this week. Lets see where did I go.

1st French/thai restaurant
2nd French
3 rd American/ steak house
4th Italian

So I have been pretty busy. I am really glad that I went to them now, the reason is if I went to them in May when I was suppose too, I would of had to go off program, and It probably would of been really hard for me to get back on program. I am suppose to go out to one of my restaurants for lunch tomorrow with the owner of my company. But we are suppose to get a snow storm tomorrow. So I am praying. I really do want to go back on program.

Just wanted to say thank you all for checking on me. I appreciate every one of you.

Katie~ you're as bad as the kids wishing for snow. (actually I'm on a snow today myself) HaHa <img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/3/3_3_16.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D3%252F3_3_16/image.gif">

I hope it works out that you can get back on program. I can only imagine how hard it must be to have to go to the restaurants. What do you do exactly? Just curious.

Katie - don't give up girl. I know that you have no choice when it comes to your job. Try very hard to make good food choices! Don't allow yourself to think that since you had to eat such and such that you will allow yourself to totally lose control. Get back on the plan and forge ahead. You can do it. We are all here for ya!

Hi Katie!

I'm hoping your day is a good one and that you're able to get back on program soon. I admire you for being able to do the program around your job. What a very tough situation to be put in---and you handle it very well.
