10 REASONS WHY I NEED TO DO MEDIFAST

1.) I am FAT
2.) Matthew is Heavy, and I am to blame. I am not setting a good example for my son.
3.) I am tired of people looking at me like I have 2 heads.
4.) I am tired of going into restaurants and have to sit at a table and not a booth
5.) I have only 2 pair of pants that I can fit into (and they are tight)
6.) I do not want to look like a beached whale during the summer.
7.) I am turning into my mother. And my mom died at the age of 57 (massive heart attack)(her eating is the way I am eating now horrible)
8.) I can not even walk up a flight of steps with out being out of breath
9.) I want to be able to cut my hair short, It looks really cute when I am thinner.
10.) Most of all I am not happy with myself, I am disappointed and Depressed.

Katie, when I made a list, such as you did..it was the nudge that I needed to make some healthier choices. I pray your list will give you the nudge you are looking for.

January 1st 2010 253.4
So I tried to start a couple of weeks ago, But I failed, work was extremely busy, I had so manyChristmas parties to attend with work and all. And then going in to the restaurants every single day was horrific. Then I had my family over for 3 days and there was just so much food.

But there is some good news. I gave up caffeine about 2 months ago and I feel Great so I decided to give up my decaf coffee and my caffeine free soda as of today. I mean seriously whats the point in having it. The only reason I drank it was for the caffeine. I mean I do like the flavor of coffee but I drink it with cream. So why do I need those extra calories. So the only thing that is going to go in my body is Medifast, water and my lean green.

With giving up the caffeine I sleep awesome. I Have never slept as good as I do now.

Well off to make my first shake

HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYONE

Great for you giving up caffeine! :) One of my last vices! I don't drink as much coffee as I used to but I still have 2-3 cups a day and have green tea as well.

I was drinking a pot a day, if not more. Then my husband kind of put me in my place. I would go to bed at 9:30 and be wide awake at 12, and then in the morning I would be so miserable. So I decided to give up my afternoon coffee. Still would go to be around 9:30 and be asleep by 10:15. So I said to myself if I can give up my afternoon coffee let me see if I can just switch to decaf. And I did. Go to bed at 9:30, and my husband said I would be snoring by 9:32. I also wake up earlier. So I figured let me just give it up all together.

3rd shake down. No headaches yet. Feeling pretty good. 64 oz water down 64 oz of water to go.

I don't have a headache yet either and I have been up since 4:30am. I am okay too. No "symptoms" yet. Last time I had stomach problems the first few days but fine today. Glad we're both doing so well!!!!! :cleader:

Wow! I can't even imagine giving up the caffeine-I just recently discovered that I LOVE coffee and I am drinking about 4-6 cups a day with some tea as well. I hope everything goes well for you Katie! Enjoy your shake.

January 2 2010 Day 2,

Have a little headache. But I am going strong. Just finished my Hot chocolate. Thank goodness for Hot Chocolate, if I did not have them and the dutch choc, I do not think I could Do medifast.

Yesterday was good. In the past I have always done a 6-0, and yesterday I said to myself that I would do a 5-1. Well that didn't happen. I was making Ceasar salad for Matthew and john, and I realized the one dressing that I was going to use has too many carbs. I was not happy. I know this is going to sound weird but when I cook I have to have full flavor of everything. I just can not eat things plain. And fresh herbs and spices do not do it justice. I thought the carb was under 7 when in actuality it is less then 6. And the dressing that I picked up at the store was 7. I really do not like the Walden Farms products, even when I am full force on program. It just taste really fake to me.

Well anyways I did the 6-0 yesterday had my pickle spears and 2 pieces of my sugarless peppermint gum and my gallon of water.

Today is going to be a great day..... On my way to victory.

biki,

Have you tried the new bars.... OMG my favorite one is the choc peanute butter bar. And they have the Nacho cheese puffs. They are expensive, and I do have them but I really only use them for emergenicies, like when I feel like I am going to cheet.

Well off to do a whole bunch of nothing today. I am just going to relax. I will probably be on here like 30 times a day.

I can't do bars. They are cheat triggers for me. I have tried several times to "manage" my program on bars and I just lose control. It's so silly but I just turn into a BAR monster.

January 3, 2010 Day 3

Going Pretty good,

Had a headache all day yesterday. At least I know it is not from coffee withdrawls.

So for the past 3 days the only thing I am drinking is water and seltzer water. I drink 1 gallon of water a day. I am feeling really good today. I know I am not over the hump just yet.

Yesterday was the first time on Medifast that I had a lean grean. Usually I do the 6-0. OMG my salad was awesome. I had 3 cups of lettuce, and I had the tyson chicken strips. And I found a Lite Ranch dressing that is awesome. It is made by wishbone.

tonight is going to be extremely hard. We are having company over for the Eagles - Cowgirl game. My sons friends come over and are like can you be my mom. I make these awesome appitizers for them.

Last nite I am in bed reading, and I am saying to myself, I am really hungry. Well stupid me I forgot to have my last supplement. So I went and had a bar. Usually I save my bars but I really did not want to make a shake.

Well anyways Going to make appetizers

I will check in later
