So I lost 6# on my first week back. I usually lose about 10# the first week back. But there are reasons why I did not, My friend showed up right in the middle of the week, My water intake sucked, and I am getting older. But I am okay with that. I am on to week two. And I am definetly going to drink more water.

I can tell that I am into Ketosis. I am sweating a lot more. I have to go out and get more Ketosis sticks.

Yesterday I probably drank over a gallon on water. My mouth was so dry. I must of been dehydrated. But all is good now, I can also feel that my skin is better. But off to another day. Wish me luck.

Good for you! Congratulations on being on plan for a whole week. You will get there, small incremental goals are so much easier to manage! Keep up the good work.

Look on the bright side of things: You are in the DOUBLE digits to reach your goal! Be the tortoise....slow and steady.

Katie, excited for you! I noticed that each time I restart, my first week's weight loss is less than the time before. Another good reason to make this the LAST restart that I do....

Here's to a great 2nd week for you!

Thanks everyone.

I am extremely tired today. I have no idea why. Today is a busy day have a bunch of chefs to see. But I am so in the medi zone.

Sunday we had about 20 people over for drinks and hors d'oeuvres. They looked all yummy, I have to say for someone that was not eating I made some pretty nice stuff. Love my culinary skills.

But like I said I am in the zone, I am drinking plenty of water, and I am excited about losing weight.

Have a great day everyone.

Katie, I so wish that I were a creative and good cook. My meals are blah and, too often, using 'heat-em-up' foods. Not good for my family.

I'm so excited and happy for you that you are in the medi-zone! I'm not there yet, but I figure it will happen soon. I just need to not toss it away when I get frustrated or stressed.

Our home is full again (g'kids and DD returned last night from a weekend away). The noise level is deafening at times and the toys strewn everywhere along with requests for my assistance or attention constant. I don't do well with chaos or noise.....temper tantrums, fussing, fighting.....regular 'kid behaviors' often build up and stress me.....then I head for the comfort of food. I need to figure out better coping skills-------and fast!

We can do this! I'm so glad you, and the others, are here, doing it with me.

Hi everyone So sorry I have not been here in a couple of days. Matthew went back to school, I am on the road one more day, and Restaurants are getting a little busier...........

Day 11 going good. Have not weighed myself this week. I am trying to hold out until Sunday.... :D It is a weird feeling this time. I feel like I am not being rushed to do this. Meaning usually I would weigh my self 40 times a day. NOw I am just waiting for Sunday. I am not using Ketosis sticks any more. Which I was using about 5 a day, making sure I was in Ketosis.... I am just relaxed......... Which is a good thing.

One thing is my water intake is Horrible, but I am prepraed if I have a bad number on the scale on Sunday.

I will try to write more later.

For now
1 shake at a time.

Good for you Katie! I'm forgiving myself little blips in my intelligence (only 1 in 7 days) and just getting myself right back into the program. I am figuring that is what life is really like, a special treat on occasion that does not signal a pig out on all and anything I want. I hope I'm right and this continues to work.

I struggle with weighing in-it's almost OCD for me. I have to weigh three times on one scale and three times on the other one and they have to be in a certain place or it doesn't count and I have to start all over again...I need help.

Going on Day 15. Doing good. Not drinking enough water. Yesterday I had all these thoughts inside of my head saying I should just join weight watchers. Then I looked back at how many times I said that and went off program and never joined weight watchers. And gained even more weight. UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

So tonight is the big Night for the Biggest Loser. So once I watch that I will be so motivated. Matthew is excited also. He loves that show. I know I have not been that much support to everyone. I am just trying to figure this whole thing out. I am sorry. Once I get more motivated I will be back on a lot more.

Hope all is well.

Oh yeah-I love that show! If you look at my journal, a friend of a friend is the young widow on the green team. Her story is heartbreaking and I know what she looks like now!

Hi Everyone,

Been a very long time. A lot has been going on. My husband and I were having some issues. We are still working through. Gained all my weight back. Tried joining WW did not last. I just love food so much. It is so hard for me to go into restaurants every day.

I know what I am about to say is horrible. My husband has lost alot of weight. And everyone is gaga over him, and it just makes me so freaking mad. OMG i did not even recognize him. He looks fabulous. I am tired of it. When I lost all that weight nobody said that to me.

I know I know I should be happy for him, and I am but I look at it this way. Oh look at this skinny guy with this fat girl.

I did start program today. I dont know why. I have 4 dinner parties in the next month. (all work related) But who knows if I can stay on program maybe i wont be tempted.

Also I gave up Caffeine all together. I am sleeping so much better. Before I would go to bed at 9:30 and still be awake at 12. Now I goto bed at 9:30 and my husband says I am snoring buy 9:33. I do feel alot better about that.

Well off for now

Katie-I am so sorry to hear about the martial problems, it is not fun at all. I can totally sympathize about the compliments and how you feel when you are around your husband, been there, done that. I hope things get better! I never liked WW because they always made me feel bad if I didn't lose that week and it was completely counterproductive. Just try to do the best you can! :D

Hi Katie!

I'm sorry you've been struggling and that you are having a hard time with envy over your husband's weight loss. It is wonderful that Matthew has both his parents working towards living healthier, longer lives to spend with him -- and someday, with his family.

I wonder if we focus more on men's weight losses than on women's some times? Perhaps because women seem to yo-yo with our weight but guys, often, just gain? (I'm making sweeping statements that do not pertain to everyone, I know). Maybe your husband is gathering so many compliments & attention because people are thrilled that he has taken a surprising step towards healthy weight? I don't know...(of course!) :)

I hope you will find your motivation and desire soon. I have missed your presence on the site!

You can make this happen. You just have to get your mindset right and grab hold that the weight loss is going to make you so much happier and healthier than any amount of food will.

My best to you!!!!!!

 I'm here for you!
