Well, now that I am starting to live it I want to tell others about it. I really do feel good about what TSFL and MF has done for me so far.

Hey katesmom, got the PMs. THANKS! I promise to get back with you as soon as I return from my shopping excursion. Gotta go to the post office and it is right by the mall so what the heck. It is raining here anyway so I can meander around the mall and use excercise as an excuse.

LATER, I promise. Keep your chin up!

Pam, The time truly does go fast. Blink and you'll be close to goal. Let's face it, at our age time is flying by, we may as well get thin along the way.

Good Morning All,
Still have a very sore and swollen right foot...Hmmmm Pam, do you think your mansion walk and additional walks around Newport could be the problem??? I still think its the crocs that I have loved wearing everyday, but now wonder if they did me a disservice...

Will hobble to work anyway.
I have been compliant and the scale says I'm up 2# :x
What?????Where did that come from????? Not very happy with that news...TOM is due soon...I don't know...

Have to hit the showers !

The scales do that all the time. It's a game they play. I don't let it affect me because a certain petite tiara-wearer calls me whiny. Patience. It is okay to complain about your poor sore foot IMO! Sorry. Remember too still have quite a few days until roll call.

Hey Pam,

Those 2 pounds are just the scale's way of showing you what Jo always talks about - we don't have control over how fast we will lose the weight, we just know that staying on plan works. You'll be back down in no time!

I hope your foot feels better :)

morning Pam!

You are doing fine!
Just like Jo said, before you know it , poof! you will be much smaller. Believe it!

Just a word about your crocs. My dd's podiatrist prescribed crocs for her to wear in the house. She has some major foot issues. So I do not think they are bad for you.\

keep going Pammy, you can do this.

Hi there, with all that walking you did over the past few days maybe you built up some muscle which we all know weighs more than fat. More muscle is a good thing - you will burn more calories with more muscle.

Anyway as far at the crocs go... do I remember that you said you have platnar fascitis (SP)? If so crocs are not good for you because the heel is not high enough. The best thing for PF (also known as a heel spur) is to make sure your heel is at least 1/2 to 1 inch higher than the ball of your foot. This relieves the pull on the Achilles and lessons the pain. If anyone is familiar with problems with the Achilles believe me I do.

Anyway - don't let the numbers discourage you. You are doing great!

Funny, my podiatrist told me last Friday to go home and throw them in the garbage..... That they should not be worn for everyday footwear like some people wear flip flops all day, everyday.

Sorry to bore you Hol, but I have been wearing Crocs all summer and towards the end of the summer is when I started with the foot pain. I had a feeling it was the shoes.... I wanted to share that info with Pam of what my podiatrist said...foot pain keeps you from doing alot of things and can get pretty darn depressing.

Back to Pam's Journal. Sorry. I usually don't post much and this is why.

No-one is offending me here...Just wondered that's all...I have stopped wearing them to see if my foot feels any better...so far, I'd say it is a little better, but not much...Still sore and swollen....Ladies, let's not get upset - I appreciate all of your input !!

Hols,
No harm done ! I will pursue a visit with a podiatrist, since my foot doesn't really seem much better...I guess I was stalling as I feel the podiatrist will say its "weight related" and maybe I don't want to hear that right now !

Have a Great Day Everyone !! :D

DO NOT allow your podiatrist to get away with that! I went over a year and a half with one saying - nothing can be done because you are just too heavy. Did some MAJOR damage to the damage that was already done. When I finally got so bad that I couldn't wear shoes with back on them and he told me to go buy new shoes (that's what women do isn't it he said.) :x I went to see another doctor. This one is one of the best in Ohio and is a teacher to others. Anyway he said it doesn't matter if someone is 2 pounds or 2000 pounds pain is pain and there is always something that can help reduce it. Sure losing weight is one of those things, but in the mean time ask about orthodics or heal lifts.

OK - sorry about the whole soap box speach, but I can't stand it when I hear about someone having foot pain and others blaming it on weight.
