Thanks for writing and showing your endless and non-judgemental support...By the way...do your DH's get jealous of this site??? The fact that my DH made a remark about me being on it, made me wonder...

We just came back from dinner and it was nice. We ate at a place called "Scales and Shells"...I had a salad and (brought along my own dressing) and a piece of broiled scrod...YUMMMM !!!

My daughter and I are actually in a room off of the hotel lobby on both computers right now...She loves these stuffed animals called Webkinz and is currently logging in to Webkinz World !

Guess What??? They have an excercise room off of the lobby too ! Can't wait to try the treadmill in the morning...

It is so hot and humid here that I almost (key word here) died from sweating as I was walking around Newport...Guess it just keeps me motivated to behave while I'm here. I will be the girl in the comfy shorts next year, NOT the one sweating to death in size 26-28 elastic waist pants !

Off to hopefully a restful night... Hope you and yours have a pleasant weekend as well !

Glad to hear that your day came around. Sorry to hear about hub. We only have one puter at home so hub and I have to fight over it occasionally. Okay, probably more often than occasionally. Only reason I'm on now is cause he's already in bed. I think my hub is somewhat supportive of this site cause he's seen the change in my attitude because of it. I talk about you guys all the time, 'well, my board said this...or this lady on my board does this..." He gets to experience the benefit of me finding myself under my fat costume.

Hope you're having an awesome trip now. (Forgot to say great job on the 3.5 loss already this week)

That was me in Puerto Rico a year and a half ago. A lady in a salon I was paying to give me a blow out and do my makeup told me I was too fat! On my birthday!!!

Biki - I'm sorry that you were treated rudely on your vacation in Puerto Rico...People can really be mean !!!!

I had my shake in the "free" breakfast room while my DH and daughter ate theirs...People really just jept looking at mem and staring...It seems like they were thinking...Gosh when is the tent woman going to get up and eat...

Sorry to have disappointed them !! (Not really sorry)

Hi Pam,

When we stay at Hampton Inns, I take my oatmeal and nuke it. I never noticed any one staring, but maybe I wasn't paying attentio. You're right, though. Who cares what people think.

My husband comments occasionally about the time I spend here, but I just tell him I need to stay in touch so that I won't slip back to old habits. That seems to be all he needs.

One more day in Newport...So far so good...No cheats...Going to take our daughter through the Breakers Mansion...Very Cloudy and looks like rain...Yesterday we went on a boat tour and it was very nice...

Drank a large caffeinated coffee last night at 10:00, and couldn't go to sleep until 1:00a.m. ARGH !

Anyway, the next time I post I will be back in Connecticut...

Thanks again for your support...Sometimes (most of the time) I feel like all of you are the ONLY ones who understand what I'm feeling...

P.s. The looks were almost less severe this a.m. at the continental breakfast room..UNTIL the slinky thing walked in...She looked at me like I was an alien ! I smiled and said hello...How are you today? Love your outfit ! She looked away and then said, Oh you're talking to me?" I said yes I am...I am just such a friendly gal and you looked like you needed a friend ! She smirked at me and walked over to the table that had all of the donuts on it and took 3 !!!!!!

I sat drinking my shake and just had a laugh for myself !!

I like your hustpa - or however it would be spelled. Anyway, I would have been thinking those things, but wouldn't have the guts to say them. I can't believe some people!

I went into a convenience store the other day and got a cup of hot water to make a soup with. The cashier kinda looked like I was a nut so I took the oppertunity to tell her about living the BeSlim philosophy. She smiled and asked a bunch of questions. I gave her a CD and pamphlet. I will see her again in a couple of days to see if she wants to sign up.

Back from Newport and feel dog tired ! Hard to wake up today... I am so happy with staying compliant...It was my true test to see if I could go away and still stay compliant !!

Mansion tours...Okay maybe I overestimated my energy level and obesity level, but OMG I was so uncomfortable in the tour of the Breakers...Not because it wasn't lovely but because of how I felt...I just wanted to sit down !!! My feet were killing me and I had to lean on every door post of every room that we went into...let me tell you, one of their "antique-don't sit on" chairs almost had my company ! I really knew then how much overweight I was and felt...Not pleasant but a good reminder of why I am here... sigh...
