Karen Pics

Postby Karen » February 14th, 2005, 1:46 pm

Finally... pictures to send. Normally, I would not do this. But is has been so nice to be able to see a face with the names on here. A bit more personal/ real. So, Let me Introduce myself. Not sure I ever did. My name is Karen. I am a registered nurse, working in home health. I have 4 great kids ages 27,24,18 and 16. I also have a "still new" husband that I met on the internet (he is from New Zealand), who is absolutely wonderful. I weighed 99 pounds the day I graduated from high school. (1972) My mom had always been overweight and I was NEVER going to let that happen to me..... hmmph! Trying every diet known to man, and many of them several times, I made it to 298 before finding Medifast this past November. I was introduced to MF by a bariatric physician here in town. She had lost 79 pounds on the program and is a great inspiration. I still have a ways to go...but I feel wonderful, I even feel skinny (I get a reality check when I pass a mirror).... but I feel good!

This first picture was taken in early December '04. I had just been on MF about 2-3 weeks. (other than high school... I don't think there are any other pics of me in the house).

Image

The one with me standing was taken yesterday...51 pounds lighter.

Dang Karen,

You look like a totally different person! You are already to the 50lb club good for you and Congratulations! Your like those commercials we see were someone has lost alot of weight and you say ya right they have been super imposed. Maybe it is the hair color or maybe it's the huge gorgous smile you have on your face that shows the success. What ever it is keep up the great work. You look fabulous!

Karen,

This is an echo of what the others are saying (but I'm guessing you don't get tired of hearing it!). You look really great! It is an amazing difference. You must be both pleased and motivated to keep on this path. You are an inspiration!

Thanks all! It is motivating to see the work in progress. Somedays I feel like I am just spinning my wheels and getting nowhere. Especially on a week like this past one with just a 1/2 pound loss. But when I see how far I've come in just a bit over 3 months.... I am eager to do another 3 months! This stuff really works!!

Karen,

You are looking super fine, chica! :) WOW. You are doing so well on this program! You blow my socks off heheheh!

I'm looking forward to getting back into it myself - and having you as my train buddy! Very soon!

It's wonderful to see your progress

When the time comes, I will be posting my pics too - but right now, I don't see enough of a difference at 20 pounds. But 76 will definitely be visible! (eep!)

Thank you for sharing with us the real you! :rose:
