holy crap am i hungry right now. going to have my last MF of the day. prolly the hot chocolate. i wish it didn't taste weird tho.

i've lost half a pound since starting on monday. i wish it was more like 1 pound, but who am i kidding. :cry:

going to the movies today was hard. the smell of popcorn was so very tempting. i didn't get any, but damn did i want some.

i hope my drinking diet Coke isn't going to make my diet go all wonky.

ugh... dizzy and tired do not make a happy Karakuri.

Hang in there Karakuri, it gets better! If you are feeling dizzy try a cup of boullion and that will probably help.

i am so mad right now. i've been on MF since monday (this is day 6) and all i've lost is 2 lbs. i feel very disheartened. this is so hard for me and i already want to stop. :cry:

i can't imagine losing 100 lbs at this rate.

DON'T QUIT! :x It will get better and you are losing even if it's slower than you'd like. Everyone loses at their own pace but everyone loses. The hunger and weakness will pass once your body gets used to the program. Just hang in there.

oh come on girl! Give it a chance! :) The scale goes up and down for me. Some times I stay the same for days, then all the sudden I lose 2 pounds. Trust me, it will work! Give it at least a month, then you can decide.

june 20th - the early morning rant

thanks for the support!

i'm going a little nutters though. i don't have my meals at the correct intervals. my sleeping habits are terrible.

today i had two MF bars and missed out on one of the 5-1 plan. i had my L&G and it was really tastey. the problem is that i remain hungry after i eat.

i want this hunger to stop. i'm finding myself being ruled over my stomach! my stomach is :twisted: evil :twisted:.

i miss eating what i want. i ate a lot of the RIGHT stuff, but then i'd go out and eat chocolate. before i went on MF i gave-in and got some ice cream. it was so good. it felt like my last meal. a sad moment indeed.

i am happiest when i can eat. thoughts of eating make me thrilled. it's also the reason i hate myself. it's the reason i've become huge. it's the reason i'm scared to leave the house. it's the reason i STOPPED going to the gym.

well, one of the reasons.

i've been drinking far too much diet Coke w/ lime. i just need to keep myself from feeling hungry all the time. i drink water and feel sick when it gets to be too much. my stomach sloshes with the water. i don't like it.

i wish i didn't like textures. i wish i didn't use food as a crutch.

i wish i could go to bed not hungry.

Just a little add in.....I noticed in myself when I drink too much diet pop I feel hungry for no damned reason....but it always starts after I finish a can....maybe you should cut out most of the pop and see if some of your hunger pains diminish....

Although I am not recommending diet soda I will admit that I also use it as a crutch. Now I do drink the Diet A&W or the Diet Right which have no caffeine but I probably have 4-5 a day. It's not ideal but it helps me make it the 2.5 hours betweeen meals. I also make sure I get all my water in; that's about 2.5 liters a day. My sleep schedule is crazy too since I'm an emergency veterinarian but when I am awake I eat right on schedule, hungry or not, and I also eat as soon as I wake up from a prolonged sleep. It will get easier just hang in there!!

off topic: it's nice to see another TankGirl fan. i started reading the comics when they were in Deadline magazine back in the early 90s. i wish they made the movie better, though. i was disappointed. :(

back on topic... i drink a lot of water and try to fill the void with diet soda. i never used to drink this much soda until the diet. go fig. i drink the soda to get rid of the hunger. but, maybe i'll try to cut back now. it kinda sucks though. i hate being hungry all the time.

i think my hunger stems from a number of factors. one being that i am on meds that were also given to anorexic people. fun! :P

i really do hope it'll get easier. i don't wish to remain hungry all the time and forever. not enjoying that at all.

Also, there's no need to go to bed hungry. You can have your last Medifast meal as late as you need to (as long as the meals are still spaced out properly, of course). I usually have a pudding or RTD shake half an hour or so before bed.

And if you think the cocoa tastes funny, it's much improved by a little DaVinci sugar-free syrup (my favorites are toasted hazelnut or toasted marshmallow). It's also really good mixed up in a blender with cold water and ice (like a shake, except I hate the shakes; the whey protein tastes much better to me).

I realllllllly think it would benefit you to cut out the Diet Soda. Particularly Diet Coke. Studies show that Diet Coke tends to make you hungrier. There is a chemical in it that actually triggers hunger. It's almost better for one to drink REGULAR soda (which of course we can't do)

I know how you feel. I HATE HATE HATE water. But man... I choke it down. It makes a huge difference. I also try to add crystal light. That helps a LOT. Try to sip it all day, thats what I do. By the end of the day you will easily have drank the 64 oz. From the time I get up til the time I go to bed I sip. I can't gulp it. It makes me feel bloated.

You're doing great. We're at the same weight, I know we can do this.

i wonder if i can get the DaVinci stuff where i live. i've found it tastes worlds better with splenda, vanilla extract and a touch of cinnamon. so i'm like the cocoa now. oh! the other thing i do now is partially boil water, pour some in, wisk, pour the rest in, throw in microwave, wisk again and it's ready. sounds like more work than it really is though.

the hot cocoa i now like to have when sitting in bed and reading. it's a good way to end the day.

I know you can get it online; do you have TJ Maxx there? They sell it, too. Or some regular markets sell either DaVinci or Torani (but I don't like Torani quite as much). Or Cost Plus World Market? Do they have those there?

I think there are some more Canadians around, so they might know.
