Just wondering

Postby swedishgirl » July 17th, 2004, 11:27 am

Hi everyone-
Swedishgirl here. I haven't posted for a long time but am back from vacation and have a question. Has anyone out there been on the full fast for over 6 months? I've been on the full fast since Jan. 2nd and have lost 118 pounds as of last Monday. I still have 50 pounds to lose but am getting a little tired of the full plan. I'm not sure I want to go on the 5 and 1 yet but am open to suggestions. Thanks for the feedback!

You did what since Jan.? Fantastic achievement! Could you please tell us what you did in order to lose all that weight? I know there is an amazing story there that we could all benefit from hearing.

Congrats on your phenomenal loss Swedishgirl!

As for being on the full fast for longer than six months, Nancy should be able to offer you some good advice since she did the full fast for seven months.

I don't think I will do the full fast for longer than 5-6 months. After this, I will switch to a modified plan because I want to get back into my intense workout routines, which will be much easier, and funner, with 100lbs gone!

Maybe switching to the modified plan for a month or so, and then switching back to the full plan will shake your metabolism up and you can lose your remaining weight at a faster, similar pace as to when you first began (which, of course, won't be as much weight per week because you are significantly smaller now and will lose less weight per week as you did when you were 100lbs heavier, but still will be more than what it might be now, if it has now slowed down to 1-2lbs a week or so).

Good luck to you and thanks for inspiring us all :).

Hey Swede!

I agree--ask Nancy's advice on the best way to transition from full fast to modified.

Congrats on your phenomenal success!
